Important Update (Don’t miss this chance!)

Gail @GrowMap has some awesome ideas and support for you, read this:

I added some tips on how to get more comments on your entries to the comments in the latest post at ComLuv – the one about how many winners there will be. Don’t you want to know anyway? Check it out!

That post also provides a new way that entrants can get more points. The comment I just left elaborates on that idea and offers tips for getting more comments in any post.

I just finished scheduling three different and unique Tweets for each and every participant. They will go out tomorrow morning from three different Twitter accounts including to my ~12,000 followers of @GrowMap.

If you RT those Tweets they’ll help you get more points for your entry! Remember that bloggers who send me @GrowMap tweets are the ones who get RTed the most frequently. I am always super busy but make time for quick RTs throughout the day. I have some wonderful followers like @Kikolani who has over 11,000 followers herself who are generous with RTing what I share so don’t miss out!

Don’t forget to Tweet directly to your friends using either @ UserName or DMs – whichever you usually use to Tweet between you. The reason that makes a difference is that many people only see those Tweets – regular Tweets scroll off their screens before they ever see them! Don’t overdo it but do ask your friends and followers for their support.

If you haven’t got your entries in yet remember that the sooner you do it the more extra time you have for promoting your entry or entries (you can submit more than one) and getting points. With twenty winners you are giving money away too easily! All prizes are THREE FIGURES – nothing to sneeze at or just some pocket change – real money that could make a difference for you.

Still not convinced? Read that post so you clearly understand that it is NOT all about just your post. There are many ways to get points awarded so even if your English isn’t great you could still win!

    • Hesham says:
Maybe a printed copy could fit :)
      • Melvin says:
That would be a wise idea but maybe not now since Im saving on printer inks.. :) lols
  10. Dr. Lawrence Kindo says:
Looks like I am the last one in the list of contestants. Of course, this is the best blogging contest I have participated in - well organized, lots of participants, resourceful articles, and a variety of writing styles that really intrigues me. Hoping to catch the contest somehow being one of the last ones (if not the last one!) to participate.
    • Hesham says:
Thank you for posting about the contest today, I have included your link, and I will send you an email right now :)
  11. evelester says:
I also wrote two sponsor posts that are not listed- I sent them to gromap.. do I need to message you too?
    • Hesham says:
Yes plz, if you have any sponsor posts still not listed, email the links to me, I am in the middle of a big miss and getting a lot of emails :) but I will do my best to update all links hopefully today!
  12. Charles says:
While the money would be great, winning isn't everything to me. The fact that my article is on that list makes me a winner already. This has been fun and look forward to more of it. This is a great way to perfect my blogging skills and work my way from a Blogger Novice (self imposed skill level) to a ProBlogger. Thanks Famous Bloggers and Comluv for posting my article.
    • Hesham says:
This is true Charles, and actually what makes me organize such blogging contests is that everybody wins something, as you said it could be a new skill or even a friend! We are thinking seriously to do more of this, and even enhance the performance as we are learning a lot, and also increase the prizes as our sponsors seems to enjoying the results all this will create a huge benefits to everyone involved! Enjoy!
      • Charles says:
That is excellent. I look forward to submitting more articles. Ever since I found this place my blog has gone from zero to at least a few readers and commentators and my Twitter account has gone from less 5 to over 15 followers and still growing.
  13. tonyknuckles says:
Glad to see the post for the contest made the cut. Hoping everyone the best of luck in all of their marketing endeavors. http://comluv.com/news/streamlining-tweeting-reactions-via-comments/
    • Hesham says:
Thank you Tony for being part of the contest, and yes.. now we have a few articles to publish then give some time for promotion, till we are are good to go with our calculations ;) Good luck!
  14. Colleen says:
Well, it's the day after the contest is officially ended, eh. Looking forward to the results. Btw, how did you place a "Would you like to subscribe to our blog?" in the Leave a Comment box Hesham?
    • Hesham says:
What we have ended yesterday is article submission, so.. now we still have a few articles to publish, then we will need to give some time for bloggers to promote and get comments on their newly published articles, and while this is happening we will be assigning judges and preparing to work with the results!! So... pronouncing the results will be at the 15 of Aug! that sounds one month from now! but ... well.. we have to take that time some how!! I will email you about your question latter today!
      • Colleen says:
Oh, I see. I guess then only half the contest is over! :)
        • Hesham says:
Yes.. The hard work is almost done, and now.. it's time to do the sensitive part!
  15. tonyknuckles says:
Is the entry for contest supposed to be submitted to both Comlv and FamousBloggers site?
    • Hesham says:
It's not necessary Tony, unless I contact you and asked you to resubmit it on FB in case we will publish it here!
      • tonyknuckles says:
Thanks for the speedy clarification Hesham. I know you guys are doing great work and have little bits of time to reply and carry on with the business of the contest.
  16. The Mayor! says:
I'm so excited, my entry is up! YAY! I am so enjoying the quality of posts & info this has inspired, thnx to all who have worked hard to put it all together! Here is the link to my contest/sponser post on my own blog... http://crazytownmayor.com/blog/3280/show-me-comment-luv/ :-D

  17. Muhd Hisyam says:
Hi, how did you make the "Would you like to subscribe to our blog?" check box? are you using a plugin or manual coding? and the Related Post, what is the that you are using? BTW, your blog is cool, love the layout, i love the footer!
    • Hesham says:
I am sorry for the late reply, I will email you about this issue latter today!
  18. Ileane says:
Hi Hesham, I'm having so much fun supporting this contest. I love reading and commenting on the posts and I even wrote a post about the FBCL contest and I'm using some of the techniques that I learned from reading the articles. It just proves that you don't have to enter the contest in order to support it! Please continue this trend of having bigger and better contests like these and I'll continue to support them. Maybe I'll throw my hat in the ring next time. Thanks.
    • Hesham says:
What can I say?!! Words can not describe my feelings about you and your great support Mr. Ilean, you are a true example of the ideal community member
  19. tonyknuckles says:
I'm still trying to figure out how to get my entry posted into the contest. Looking for the hashtags over on comluv, helps a lot too. Great idea to go so big right out of the box for this one.
    • Hesham says:
Still have one week to join! hope you can do it!
  20. Jason Jumat says:
Wow, I must say! That makes famousbloggers.net one of the most organized sites I know. And to top it all it triggered huge prize money!
    • Hesham says:
Thank you for your kind words Jason, much appreciated!
  21. John Soares says:
I'm just watching and enjoying the show -- and learning from all these great posts. I'm personally rooting for Kikolani...
    • Hesham says:
I see you often at kikolani.com John, very nice to see you around :) enjoy!
  22. sridhara says:
You have just retweeted the History :) I hope you can add something to this awesome list, it’s a nice exposure and $$ as we will have 20 winners on this bloody contest, I will be posting latter about the prizes! Thank you Jonathan, I really appreciate your friendship!
  23. sridhara says:
    And
this is only the start Ryan, I have a few other articles not published yet and more is coming on the way! so .. be sure to come back latter when you have time to check what’s now added to this folder!
    • Hesham says:
      Looking forward to see this!
  24. evelester says:
There are not nearly as many entries as I thought there would be- lol, good for me I guess!! LOL Loving it so far- I have learned a lot from all the posts!
    • Hesham says:
We also didn't expect low entries! but I know that there some guys preparing their articles! Of course the best chance is for those who responded faster and submitted their article earlier!
  25. Dr Joe says:
As a new blogger, I'm amazed by all the excitement and activity you generated so quickly. I'm learning tons from the articles, comments and the whole SM vibe you're generating. So THIS is what it's all about.
    • Hesham says:
Hi Dr Joe, nice to see you on our blog, and glad to hear that from you! I love your blog, very nice one! an I also like the customization of your Thesis Theme! Thank you for stepping by!
      • Dr Joe says:
Thanks Hesham. I went with Bluehost, Thesis, Scribe SEO and Easy Thesis from ThesisThemes. No regrets for sure. DIY is not always the easy way to go, but I can't believe how far I've come in 6 weeks. It sure helps having sites like this for guidance. By the way, you're VERY stylin' here.
        • Hesham says:
Nice choice! I agree, it's not that easy to work with DIY :) but after you get used to it then it's very hard to go for any other theme, I am actually working on a new project to help all Thesis users, I will pronounce it soon! Thank you so much for the complement, glad you like it!
  26. Stephanie Smith says:
Thank you for putting everything in one place. It makes it easier for me to keep up and for others to find our articles. This is a awesome contest and I am learning a lot.
    • Hesham says:
You are welcome Stephanie :) I see that you are enjoying the so many comments on your awesome post! well done!

Thank you Gail for the available information!
  28. Melvin says:
arrggh, I got into this super busy weekend where I could literally do nothing online. Wait for my entry and I hope Im not yet late..

    • Hesham says:
You are welcome Lindsay! I wish you good luck and I hope got a nice idea to bring people in the comment section or your article :)
  30. Paul Novak says:
Another good idea Hesham. There's no better teacher than experience and if you can put all that experience in one easy to access place, THEN you have a great resource. Great way to make the most of the contest.
    • Hesham says:
How is everything with you Paul? I hope you are doing great buddy! Yes, we needed to collect there awesome magnificent resource! Thanks for stepping by, and good luck!
  31. DiTesco says:
This is great Hesham. Now I can get updated every time I want to see a new post regarding the "Art of Commenting", in case I miss them :) Thanks..
    • Hesham says:
I have added another two excellent articles, it's a must read.. so.. enjoy buddy ;) And yea.. this way we can catch up with all posts in the contest, and have a nice resource! I actually did this for me not for our blog readers because I feel I will lose control if I don't organize everything well LOL!
  32. Tia says:
All of the entries have been really great so far. I'm just happy to be part of the contest and it's been an awesome experience. You guys are brilliant for pulling it together! Cheers, Tia
    • Hesham says:
I really appreciate your hard work Tia, I wish you all the good luck dear! you are in the heart of our blog ;)
  33. Mike says:
Thanks for putting in all of this :) I actually really need them to improve my reader engagement in my blog. It gets zero comments in some blog posts so I think I need to act now before it's too late
    • Hesham says:
Mike, I know the feeling of ZERO comments, lonely! There is some awesome articles and updates! Check out the new articles, it's a mazing read!
  34. James Pruitt says:
This is great. Glad to jump in and share with everyone. and the chance to win cool prizes is just an added bonus. Can't wait to read all the other posts coming in the next few days. thank you to CommentLuv and Famous Bloggers for allowing us the opportunity to share on your blog.
    • Hesham says:
Thank you James, I got your second article, I will publish it soon! Also we are deciding to have 20 winners and probably the minimum prize is going to be $100 ;) we will pronounce that soon at the comluv.com!
  35. AJ says:
Some really great resources here. I still find it funny that so many popular blogging posts are about how to blog. Like all the sites that make money teaching how to make money...great stuff :) Learning how to squeeze more "comment juice" out of people is a pretty hot topic these days...ok, that sounds dirty. Anyway, I really enjoyed "The Art Of Leaving A Comment", that was a good one.
    • Hesham says:
Yes AJ, I am so excited to see good article written so far for the contest, we will be able to create a nice commenting folder that everybody will get benefit from it! Also I have added another 2 articles today! you will love it!
      • AJ says:
This is a bit unrelated, but I noticed you have added lazy loading for your images. Its nice for speed, but man it makes me dizzy when i scroll through this page with all the gravatars flashing.
        • AJ says:
Sorry, one more...Did you add manually or using a plugin?
        • Hesham says:
LOL! I am just trying it, and yes it makes me dizzy too :) I have used the plugin but didn't work! then I had to add the code manually!
  36. Nabeel says:
Hi Hesham, Great idea and this will help us learn more about blog commenting and making it even more effective! I don't know whether I should mention or not, but there was another post on blog comments here: Fed up Friday empty comments And I wrote this in the 'comments' lol: I think it is important to add value in comments. It is the least commentators can do. I mean how hard is it to comment genuinely on a post? I think it makes it a lot easy to comment on a post if the author ask's a question at the end. Commenting on it just seems natural. But even when there is no question asked, there is still room for comments. Just share your knowledge, thoughts etc. Nabeel
    • Hesham says:
Hi Nabeel, glad to see that you like this commenting recourses! These articles are from our blogging contest, so I won't add any other links to articles from out the contest! although that link from hot blog tips is a guest post on Keith's blog! so .. no problem.. he's my friend ;) Thanks for the advice and tips!
  37. Jonathan Beebe says:
Wow this is pretty exciting Hesham, I'll definitely have to retweet this post and keep coming back to it to see what's added. I've personally been putting more focus on my blog commenting strategy, so who knows, maybe I'll have something to add to this list at some point. Sounds like this is going to be an awesome resource (and even with the few articles that are already here, it's already shaping up to be). Thanks again Hesham, take care!
    • Hesham says:
You have just retweeted the History :) I hope you can add something to this awesome list, it's a nice exposure and $$ as we will have 20 winners on this bloody contest, I will be posting latter about the prizes! Thank you Jonathan, I really appreciate your friendship!
  38. Ryan says:
