10 Beautiful Mobile Responsive Themes from Studiopress

Mobile Responsive Themes

My name is Brankica and I am a theme-a-holic! Yes, definitely feel like that sometimes and I feel I could change themes on my blog every day. That is why I believe StudioPress is heaven for people like me, that can not make up their minds on what they like best.

Or quite the opposite, considering they keep creating new themes all the time and I just get lost in all that and can not pick one! So today I am picking 10 and I limited my choice to mobile responsive themes because they look so good on mobile devices.

Themes are arranged in alphabetical order, because of course, I could not make up my mind which one I like the best 🙂

Agency theme

I would pick this theme for a business blog that showcases a company and its services. Of course any of these themes can be edited so they looks good for any type of blog, but I will assume you want to use it out of the box.

This theme has a pretty cool home page with widgets you can use to stress your main products or services.

Theme features: 4 color styles, 6 layout options, custom background, custom header, custom menus, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsive, theme options, threaded comments, WooCommerce integration.

Apparition theme

I just love this one, it is clean and at the same time it can show so much of your work. Of course, just looking at it you would guess it would be perfect for a photography blog… but why not a cooking blog… or an arts and crafts one…. or a dog grooming one?

Think outside the box because this theme is definitely created like that. Any type of service that can be presented with nice images will benefit from this layout.

Theme features: custom background, custom menus, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsive, theme options.

Decor theme

I think this is my second favorite in this lineup. It is very elegant and the 4 colors you can choose from are all perfectly fitted for this type of the theme. Just having a theme whose colors are Amethyst, Copper, Gold and Silver (in the photo) shows you how expensive your blog will look with it.

Apart from interior design type of blog, I think it would be perfect for pretty much any “girl” blog, any women related topic as well as an elegant hobby a man can have. Like bike restauration… yes, I can totally see this theme edited slightly to fit that perfectly.

Theme features: 4 color styles, 6 layout options, custom background, custom header, featured images, footer widgets, mobile responsive, threaded comments.

Eleven40 theme

I used this theme on my blog and I love working with it. It gives a blog very clean and professional feel. It is perfect for business and marketing blogs although with a few edits you can make it look good for any type of blog. It is a great choice for those who like minimalism and clean layout.

Theme features: 4 color styles, 6 layout options, custom background, custom header, featured images, footer widgets, mobile responsive, threaded comments.

Generate theme

This theme is just perfect for marketing and general blogging blogs, unless you want to play around and style it your way. The reason I say this is that it has a really great opt in box below the header that you don’t have to style at all. The look of the opt in box fits these types of blogs.

If you don’t mind playing with the code and want to change things around, you can style your own featured box and fit it with your topic. I’ve used this theme as well. I do have to say that I found it a bit more complicated to work with (editing wise) than eleven40, for example.

Theme features: 4 color styles, 3 layout options, custom background, custom header, featured images, footer widgets, mobile responsive, threaded comments.

Mindstream theme

This one is for creative Tumblr lovers. This theme has post formats similar to Tumblr so you can see at a first glance what the post will be about – a quote, image or something else (it actually has 9 post formats).

It would be perfect for those who like to update their blog often and like to include as many different ways to express themselves as they can. The design is really nice as well.

Theme features: 3 layout options, custom background, featured images, footer widgets, mobile responsive, post formats, threaded comments.

Mocha theme

This theme, to me, looks like one of the clean themes leaning towards women. Maybe it is just the color options but every one of them reminds me of a “girly” blog. My favorite thing is the fact that the left sidebar is brown and the right one changes the color. It adds to the consistency of the theme. Clean layout only helps.

Theme features: 5 color styles, 4 layout options, custom background, custom menus, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsive, theme options, threaded comments.

Outreach theme

This theme has home widgets and a gorgeous slider that covers the whole width of the site. You can use it for a business blog, like you would use Agency theme, or for some really creative blogs, that can express through great images. So many ways to prominently display you content, products or services and it is all packed into a really nice package.

Theme features:4 color styles, 6 layout options, featured images, mobile responsive, theme options, threaded comments.

Quattro theme

I love this theme for one main reason! The background! The notebook look reminds me of the time I was a kid, doing math homework in a similar notebook and it just makes me feel warm around my heart. The theme is very clean and simple but the look is going to set you apart from the bunch.

Theme features: 3 color styles, 6 layout options, custom background, custom header, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsive, theme options.

Streamline theme

Another theme with home page widgets for featuring your best comment. This is one of the darker themes and it would probably be my choice for a general blog, creative photography or artsy people.

Theme features: 3 color styles, 3 layout options, custom background, custom header, custom menus, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsive, theme options, threaded comments.

Mobile Responsive Themes

There it is, my list of top 10 mobile responsive themes from StudioPress.

You may know by now that you need Genesis framework to run these child themes but the great news is that once you start purchasing their products (which I love and strongly recommend) you will get a returning customer discount.

So which one is your favorite?

I used the Decor theme for a client and it was a nightmare. Definitely not mobile responsive, even their own demo gets covered up by the menu bar when you zoom in on a mobile device, little to no support in the forums, and both web developers that worked on this project said the CSS made no sense.

While Studiopress do indeed have some lovely-looking themes I tend to check out Themeforest as they have a huge market. :)

Though I'm not a big fan of Studiopress, I do like some of their themes. Out of the ones that you have shared with us in this article, Generate theme seems to be the best to me.

Hello fellow addict :) I probably change themes at least once every 3 months which is too much in this niche but I just can't help it!
  6. Servando Silva says:
I've been using the Mocha and Streamline themes and I just love them. And being mobile responsive allows me to get rid of any external app for movile devices which normally tend to take off all the functionality and design of your blog.
    • Brankica says:
I definitely love those two themes and not to mention the thing you said - not having to run plugins to make my blog mobile friendly.
  7. Andrew Richard says:

The Generate Theme simply just works for me. Although some customization needed to be done, but overall, it is recommended one. I highly support the use of Genesis Framework ;)
