Facebook Advertising Killed Google Adwords

March 2, 2011 - Last Modified: April 1, 2014 by Faissal Alhaithami 5,638

Facebook advertising System

Hi everyone, I’m Faissal Alhaithami. I’m going to share why Facebook advertising killed Google Adwords! I’ll share the secrets in Facebook advertising necessary to generate massive traffic, and the endless opportunities that this system offers that Google Adwords doesn’t. However, this doesn’t mean that Google Adwords is useless or that using Facebook advertising will make you satisfied. As a mater of fact, you will still be in need of Google Adwords.

facebook ads here

pages on facebook

As you know there are Facebook fan pages that Facebook offer, and this pages are really like an opt-in pages. let me explain more, when you create an ad you have the option to send your visitors to your website, your capture page or you’ve a chance to set what we are called landing page, I will be explaining more about it, and as you know internet marketing and generating traffic is all about leads and relationship which Facebook is the best place for that.

Specifics

Before I start, please keep in mind the “more” rule:

( more specific = more leads >> more leads = more traffic >> more traffic = more money )

One of the wonderful things about Facebook advertising is that you can be ultra specific. Users provide Facebook with an abundance of information about themselves. We’re talking about their favorite books, interests, religion, political views, favorite quotes and so on. All of this information is gold to a potential advertiser.

leads

When setting up your advertisement campaign, you’ll be able to choose whom you want to see your advertisement by targeting specific demographic information. You can target by location, keywords, likes and interests, language, education, workplace, birth date, age, connections, friends, and relationship status.

For example, if you wanted to target all of the single women ages 25-30 in New york, it’s an easy task.

It’s important to be specific about your audience when creating an advertisement. It helps you produce specific copy. For example, you could create an ad for single women, one for married women ,and one for divorced women. This specificity helps you boost click through rates and maximize your budget.

With more than 550 million active users ranging from pre-teens to senior citizens, your audience is likely present on Facebook. Before you begin creating your advertisement, you decide specifically whom you’re going to target. You can always create more than one ad, so if you have a large audience, brainstorm  on how you can use the Facebook demographic options to narrow your focus.

Facts : Research says people between the ages of 35-45 are more likely to click on your ads.

Facebook Double lead strategy

Facebook Double lead strategy
Facebook Double lead strategy

Here is the best about part about the Facebook advertising system: you can generate 2 leads at the same time!! With the double lead strategy, you can get an Email and a like.

When you create a Facebook page, you will have the ability to set a landing page. In addition, the landing page is where people or the visitors go when they click on your ads. Furthermore, you can design this landing pages as you like, so you can design this landing page to truly capture leads. Moreover, when people land on this page you, can ask them to take 2 actions. Firstly, to like your page. Secondly,  to give you their name and email to get your E-book or what ever you have promise them in your ads. You can generate 2 leads with 1 price.

Building relationships

facebook relationshipsYou all know that social media has largely effected the way we do internet marketing due to it’s ability to help us build a relationship between us and the prospects. Furthermore, this task is really easy when your page visitor clicks on the like button, because you will have the ability to send updates to their Facebook news feed. This helps Facebook advertiser sto build a strong relationship with the prospects very easily.

In a nutshell, we conclude that Facebook is playing with the cord of specificity and the double lead strategy. They are the #1 social network for helping advertisers to generate massive traffic and build relationships more easily than ever.

Facebook ads didn't killed Google ads, you probably don't know what you're talking about or never really used one of them. Facebook ads are good for when you need likes or someone to use your newly created app, other than that it's completely useless. The cpm's generate a ridiculously low ctr and the cpc's to work are expensive as hell. On facebook cpm campaigns ctr's of less than 0.05% are very common and on cpc 0.1% ctr is considered good, my ctr on google is 15% and i pay a lot less for each click, facebook ads completely suck, even with all the targeting are ineffective and expensive. Also targeting the 35 to 45 year old audience is only any good for your cpm campaign, not cpc. Also the revenue generated from ads from facebook and google are completely incomparable, they're not even in the same league, google has like 10x more revenue, the difference between the two is that google still has potential to expand a lot and facebook not so much. P.S. good titles are good to catch someone's eye but if they're going to say a load of bull it's not very good for returning visitors, not much people that recognizes to be reading bull will be anxious to come back.
  2. Vivek says:
Thanks Faissal for wonderful article. I used both of them. To me Google adwords worked far better than Facebook ads. Google rocks, always.
  3. Shawn says:
Excellent Article. I see a facebook page in my future. I never thought I would be making one but I bet I will be. Well it wont be My facebook page, but my blogs facebook page. I did the myspace thing when I was in my teens and didn't care for it. So I never thought I would end up with a facebook account. But by the time I start monetizing my blog I will probably have made a facebook account. I can see how it would be very helpful to a blogger or advertiser.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Great choice Shawn, all the best and thinks for stopping bu and adding this great comment.
  4. Sameer says:
The double lead strategy seems to be an interesting option to check out. In theory it looks quite attractive. Anybody out here who has actually found this to be really beneficial in practice? It would be very interesting to hear about your experience.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Yep it is an awesome way! I have used it with all the pages that i worked on and it gives great result. You can visit of own Fan page and look at my landing page. thanks for the comment.
  5. Anirudh Anand says:
i still prefer Google adwords because i am a big fan of Google... personally, i don't thing facebook can overcome Google adwords but its true that to some extend google has loose some of its customers to facebook...
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
I'm a very big fan of google too, but that doesn't mean that I should lose my money with less traffic while i can get more traffic that more quality and targeted, with the same amount of money with facebook.
  6. Ekspresi Ruang says:
I've just opened up a Facebook Ads to promote my blog in Facebook. I also tought the same way like what you have wrote in. Hopefully this method will work more effectively than putting paid banner in famous blogs.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
It should work great if you was targeting the right way. All the best in your ad campaign.
  7. nasser says:

  8. Anna says:
Advertising and the products that are advertised are the best reflection of the current society. This was said by an advertiser guru once. Facebook will become then soon the history book...don't you think?
    • faissal alhaithami says:
firstly not every thing that every guru says will be right.! but I don't think that facbook will be the history book.. if you count how many changes that facebook made on there site this can be the answer! as the people can't be bored of something that always change! and will always be in increase of the number of users.
  9. TrafficColeman says:
I think facebook is taken that next leap to over take Goolge..but we will see..

Your post about facebook advertising system gives me a clear overview on how facebook pages can help generate massive traffic going to a website. No wonder why most business owner now opt to advertise in facebook.

So true. facebook ads are much more specific and useful than google...nice one!

thanks for the comment! and your interaction ;)
  12. Cosmin Stefan says:
Hello Faissal. I agree with you that Facebook is a viable alternative to Google’s AdWords for online promotion. They are more targeted and they aren’t “in-your-face”. It will be interesting to see what these two Internet giants will do in the future. Even though they are pretty different, there’s bound to be a clash. I can’t wait for it. All the best! Cosmin.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
thax! facebook advertising is becoming more awesome with the time! cosmin we all can't wait for it ^,^
  13. ashwin shahapurkar says:
Interesting points , but still i would prefer adwords. The only advantage of using facebook ads is that they allow you to target people according to their age.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
thanks !! but there is alot more advantage ^,^
  14. Ash says:
Fantastic blog, I never really thought facebook ads could generate so much potential traffic and sales. I work in video production and am very curious though if my industry would benefit from FB ads? We use google ad words but selling video production services is hard to pinpoint on a particular niche, or would you say otherwise??Ash
    • faissal alhaithami says:
I never tried promorting a video production! but what is awesome about Facebook ad that you can promote your videos in facebook ^,^ so if you have a video in facebook i guess it's really good to try promoting it! ofcourse on other hand you can promote a videos from out side facebook!! but I can promise you with any result!!
  15. Dan says:
I used Facebook ads to get traffic to my webiste. I set a 200 Mile permimeter and a bunch of other metrics. I am in N. California. I was paying for traffic from Mexico and other states. Worse than that, I was being over charged daily visits. Both statcounter and sitemeter showed 10 but Facebook would charge me for 20 etc. And there is no customer service. You email and they email you back within 2 weeks.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Hi, may i know when you have did your facebook advertising ?
  16. Rose says:
Hi Faissal, Very interesting post. I am using many PPC programs for my clients and myself such as Yahoo search marketing, Pricerunner, Kelkoo, Google Adwords, etc. All I can say is Google Adwords is the best at the moment. With Google adwords we can also create specific landing page targeting different keywords set, different geographic, etc. but I will not argue with you that we cannot set to target specific age period like 15-20 or 25-35. Instead, we can use like "young girl cosmetics", "30 up women beauty products" (just for example) to target that people, also to target someone who would like to buy that product for that people (for example, my boyfriend looking to buy cosmetics as a present for my birthday). However, it's interesting to advertise on Facebook, I will give it a try. Thank you and good luck with the contest. ;)
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Google Adwords is so helpful. at the same time, facebook ad system can do an awesome job too! and the targeting that i mean with facebook it's really different from Google! as in Facebook you can target like : the married women students that their ages between 23 to 25 from Washington university. thanks for your comment :)
  17. kirapermunian says:
Hi there Faissal, You have a very informative entry here. This is timely Facebook has come a long way since first releasing their advertising engine. Using Facebook, you are reaching the 500 million customers out there with the increased targeting ability, with CPM or PPC Option and also, facebook system works in local advertising. I am certain Facebook has made a very important progress that will continue to improve. That is if we're going to consider the negative study results about their system. Thank you. All the Best, Kira Permunian
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
what a great comment i have just got ^,^ thanks for it.
  18. semmy says:
Hi Faissal thank you very much for your post! It's really interesting post. I agree with you, FB ads can kill Adwords. Because it's more targeted. On Fb ads we can targeted the people interest.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
glad that you have agreed with me :) thanks for your comment..
      • Codrut says:
I don't want to agree with you... let's show some personality... lol I think your double lead strategy is interesting and practical; did you think to consider Facebook the Amazon of social media? They're consumer-oriented fanatics and track everything about their users. I heard Google's recent social search update doesn't include results form Facebook network. What do you say, do they plan to buy Facebook and keep it simple, or what's your opinion?
        • Faissal Alhaithami says:
LOL^^ without a doubt Facebook is the amazon of the social media! it's not because I think but this is a fact !! yep I have read an article about this and maybe google is started to look at facebook seriously from the competition side..
  19. Abdulrhman Alyahri says:
    Nice , Good luck :)
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
      thanks man ^,^
  20. Paul Seymour says:
I agree pay-per-click is an effective method of promotion, try asking a publication or broadcast station to show your ad. without paying, saying you'll just give them a small payment everytime someone responds. You can imagine the reaction! The problem with Google adwords is that it is so expensive. The fastest growing method of viewing the net is via a mobile device and pay-per-click via mobile marketing is even more effective, even more targeted and a fraction of the cost of adwords.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
so true google adwords in super expensive while facebook ad system is really cheap !! thanks for your comment ;)
    • Codrut says:
Paul, if you're looking for the right long-tail keywords you could slash your prices by up to 65%, at least (IMO)! Also, I'd not advertise my budget on a growing trend/technology platform, unless it's big enough to reach my niche-specific audience. Too many marketers advise to go with the mobile advertising platforms or social media, but they're having no clue what / why they're recommending. Double check, due diligence is required.
  21. Robin says:
You article made me to think about Facebook Advertising platform. I am using Google Adwords for long time from next month i decided to try out FB Ad platform as well. Thanks for the light.Cheers._Robin
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Awesome..! it's nice to change people mind heheh.. but since you want to try facebook ad system i guess you will need to get your copy of my free ebook and video i'll release in the coming days! that will help you tons. and if you wanna any help don't hesitate to contact me ! thanks for your comment.
    • Codrut says:
That's interesting, could you share some results with us? I know you cannot give niche terms , but maybe some clues. How effective is AdWords so far and did you try other alternatives?
      • faissal alhaithami says:
Sorry didn't understand you question so well about the result, which result you mean? and about the alternatives yes i did ^,^
  22. Shiva says:
Hi Fasiall, A nice post about Facebook Advertising system. I think Facebook has opened a new avenue of highly targeted advertising. Although targeting can be done using Google Adwords too but targeting using Google adwords is not as powerful as that which can be done by using Facebook. Also the benefit of Facebook ads is that you can make the visitor land on any landing page you want. Fan Pages and Application also provide a great way of generating more leads and traffic.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
thanks for your comment :) and yep as you said targeting in google adwords can't defeat the targeting in Facebook ^,^ ..
  23. Chlee says:
Hi Faissal, Speechless... : ) Such a wonderful posts... Facebook to me is amazing cause when talking about advertisement, networking and relationships, entertainment and sharing.. I think no other can compare with... And the best is thing I found my 'lost contact' friends and meet new friends from different country,of coz I met my 27 Aug here ... : ) Good Luck and wish you win in the contest..Cheers !!!
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
greeeeeeeeeat!! thanks for your comment :)
  24. Harsh Agrawal says:
Many case study has shown that facebook advertising is a complete fail if not done targeted advertising. Facebook advertising is said to be more accurate when you know who is going to be your targeted audience and who is going to be most likely buying your product. I have never had my luck with Facebook advertising, though I have been considering doing some Facebook advertising for one of my product..Hopefully I will get the right insight (Baby steps) for facebook advertising and will take my first step into Fb advertising..
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Hi Harsh, it's really great to have a try for facebook advertising.. after few days i'll release my free guide for facebook advertising ..! i guess you need to get your copy ^,~
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Hi Harsh, great to have a try for facebook advertising.. after few days i'll release my free guide for facebook advertising ..! i guess you need to get your copy ^,~
    • Codrut says:
Ha, ha. That's key. Targeted advertising should be standard approach for everything we do from writing content to promoting whatever. Don't you think? People complain all the time that nobody buys, and Internet is dead as a commerce medium. Did they ever think about a simple yet overlooked principle like: People buy from other people that they like, know and trust... at the right time, the right solution.
      • Faissal Alhaithami says:
ofcourse! targeting is one of the thing that can increase sales.!! and why people complain because the are targeting the wrong people !! it's like I have a football and I want to the basketball players to buy it :D thanks for your comment..!
  25. Ameera says:
Amazing post Faissl. Great, great job :) Good luck.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
thanks alot for you comment!! really appreciate the time you spent in reading it.
  26. Abdulla Al-Fadhala says:
I agree mostly on the facts you have stated, Yes Facebook advertising is useful because you can target your customers easily and can select and choose whatever eg. age, sex, interests .. of this potential customer. But wait a second, Google Adword works with the same techniques to help advertisers to select their target customers. For example; Advertiser X want to sell a product for "young ladies" So what will Advertiser X will need to select several keywords to do so. What does Google do then ?, it shows Advertiser X his advertisements in websites which is related to his keywords. How does Google knows that? Every website has a meta which is found in the top tap of the browser, this meta has the keywords of the website. So this how Google Adword works. At then end Advertiser X will have his Ads. of a website which is related to "young ladies". Let's go back to Facebook, Yes ! I totally agree that Facebook is almost on the culmination of the World Wide Web; But that doesn't mean that it "Killed Google Adwords" The exact thing happened when MySpace in 2007-2009, it was the one of the popular website which grow so fast !!!. But what happened now to Myspace ? IT' DEAD !! Google is buying websites to help Adword to be improved, rememberer when Google bought Youtbe, HI5 .... My conclusion is to state the matter of fact, Google would always be on the top, unless another search engine rival against Google, which most likely will need another 10-years to do so. Without Google, there couldn't be something called Facebook. At the end of the day, people will get bored of Facebook, and will need to find something else to socialize with.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
actually Myspace DEAD because of the spammers not because people feel bored ..!! that what facebook is really doing fine with.!? and people won't be bored from something always change like facebook and as you know facebook is really rich with multi Media stuff !! but i really don't know how you guys always comparing google with facebook this impossible google is search engine while facebook is social network..!!!??? and both of them is the #1 in their field. but i liked what you said that without google we would know facebook, so where is yahoo ?? if google isn't here yahoo is here .!! am i right..? and you really need to know that yahoo was the #1 traffic site i guess 1 or 2 years ago.. about the advertising if i give you a 100$ do you promise me that you going to bring me the married women students that their ages between 23 to 25 from Washington university.?? by using adwords.!!?? actually this is what i mean by specification!! and google can't give us a specific age like facebook.. this just 1 awesome side of facebook ad system!! I love google so much google is the power of the entire web google is just an awesome site and google brings me alot of visitors for free but in my article i'm talking about the facebook ad system x google adwords!! but do you think when people get bored from facebook they will go to google to play games?? ofcourse not google is a searching and webmasters tool.. anyway, thanks alot for your awesome comment :D
  27. Naif Abdulla says:
Hi Faissal, What a pretty powerful post you’ve made. The strategies are good to know. Well, as you know Faissal, Facebook = social network Google = search engine What I want to say is that, more people will stay more in Facebook, but for Google, most people just pass by. That's why Yahoo website tried so many times to keep their websites rich with news and entertainment stuff. Google users spent like 1 minute searching for links and then they disappear. Facebook users are more likely chatting and playing games etc… I have one question for you. Do you think Google will do a better job and become more powerful in the future? or a new website will crack them both off like twitter for example. Great article Faissal and good luck with the traffic generation. Well done.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
wow!! you just got it all.. in fact, people live inside facebook ^,^ and due to you were talking about Facebook and Google generally i'll answer you a general answer..! answering you questions:: ofcourse google will develop cuz that how big sites can stick with there chairs actually google is the power of the internet #1 traffic site and the #1 search engine ! without google we would know alot of websites !! and most of websites owners depending to get there visitors from google!! i always don't like to compare between this 2sites generally as they are like kings in their field. for now i don't think any website can bit google or facebook. sorry but even twitter, eventhough twitter has been a big source of traffic for us..! but still there are 6sites between twitter and both google, facebook yeah don't forget that 2 of those 6 are yahoo and youtube ^,^ thanks for asking and please don't hesitate to ask more ^,^
      • Naif Abdullah says:
Well said Faissal, It's a matter of time for Google .. ps: there is a rumor that Google is working on a new social network, what do you think will happen to the Facebook ads? Thanks again :)
        • Faissal Alhaithami says:
LOL this is really hard question to answer !! but before i try to! i want you to know that i'm not an augur :D .. actually i just heard from you, for the first time that Google is working in a social network site.. but with the power of google I don't think their website will crash Facebook..! In fact, Facebook sets his roots inside people mind.! if google is really working on social network site i guess it will be an awesome idea like twitter.. but they really need to think how to stay as the #1 traffic site hehehe due to facebook is working to be the #1 but now about the advertising system i don't know how that website working but it might got a good advertising system why not ^,^
          • Rose says:
Hi Faissal, As I know of, Google social network is "Google Friend Connect", at the moment it's still too far less effective than Facebook but in the future, I don't know.
            • Faissal Alhaithami says:
yep! I guess you are right ~_~" haven't mentioned this..!
  28. Kevin V says:
Very informative and nice insight on Facebook Advertising System. I have seen so many other social mediate sites copying their methods as of lately.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
yep this is so true! thanks for the comment ^,^
  29. SALMLM says:
Wow nice point up here Faissal , but what you suggest me to do First if i wanna Start ? By the way Thanks for sharing this information with us .
    • faissal alhaithami says:
good to ask me, actually if you looking to start after 1 to 2 weeks i suggest you to wait for my new free e-book + videos that i will release but if you looking for it before 1 week i suggest you to flow this : 1- determine your targeted audience (location, age , interests etc...) on a paper. 2- determine what you need from you advertising.? for example ( traffic back to you site, leads?, sales or fans? ) 3- determine you budget. when you start an ad just start with a 50$ for each 3 different ads cuz you'll have the abilities to create as many ads as you like.. so you test this 3 ads and the one who converts more stuck with it. thanks for the comment and if you need other helps just ask me for it ^,^
  30. Noor says:
Great Jop Faissl .. Good Luck ..
    • faissal alhaithami says:
      thx~
  31. Kallady says:
It's just awesome how you compared between the two methods in this easy way .. I wasn't interested at all before to know\read those type of information but now I guess I wanna know more about it .. Well Done ! & I wish that you win this contest ..
    • faissal alhaithami says:
I guess the awesome is your comment..! in fact it wasn't easy to came out with this article but when i see people like you getting information and become interesting on it, i feel so good ^,^ anyway, you will find so much article that you would love to read from these sites: famousbloggers.net, comluv.com , iblogzone.com and you will quite good article in my blog.
  32. Mavis Nong says:
Hi Faissal,I agree that Facebook has become very powerful in the social media arena. I have used both Google Adwords and Facebook PPC and I can safely say that the former converts very well - for me and many other marketers I know of.Thanks for sharing and all the best with the Traffic Generation contest!Mavis
    • faissal alhaithami says:
Hi Mavis, GREAT!! that what i mean when i have said that we will still be in need for google adwords..! because the pro marketers must use every single source of traffic and leads!! and leaving facebook ad system behind is a big mistake !! thanks for your comment!!
      • Mavis Nong says:
That's very true, Faissal. Facebook is HOT at the moment! All the best, Mavis
  33. J.M.alhajri says:
Great post Faisal, and these strategies never came to my mind. Enjoyed reading it!

I Like it Great Jop Faissl U should teach us
    • faissal alhaithami says:
      thanks for the comment karima.
  35. Alison Moore Smith says:
Now, if FaceBook could just kill AdSENSE, too, we'd be in business! When one company gets so much power, it's ripe for abuse.
    • faissal alhaithami says:
actually i haven't abused google adword ^,^ i LOVE GOOGLE so much :D and i have mentioned and i will always mention that we will always be in need to adwords!! but let me tell you that the marketers could be in business without adwords cuz that what happen when google have had banned alot of marketers!!! alot of them still in business stronger than before!!
  36. Tinh says:
That is nice idea but I do not think that FB can kill GA in near future as most of pro internet marketers are still stick to Google Adwords to generate sales. If FB can only generate leads as you mentioned, so Google Adwords can do more than leads, it is sale :-)

Hi Tinh . facebook can generate even sales, traffic, fans who we can build the relationship with, not only Leads...! I have never said that facebook only generate lead :D but i really like what you said about the pro marketers but let me explain something! the marketer must use every single source of leads and traffic, am i right? using one source of traffic is a big mistake! and we all know what happen to the people who google has had banned there accounts without any reasons while this people are depending on adword as there only traffic and sales source...!! all in all, this pro marketers are stick with adword this is right but in the same time they have facebook ads running!! and that why i have said in my introduction that we will still be in need for Google Adwords. in fact not just adword but all traffic sources such as, banner advertising and CPV. thanks for your comment ^,^
      • Tinh says:
Frankly I am not against to your points and all seems true to some extents. The reason why I mentioned this was that most of internet marketers esp. those who claimed to make hundreds or million of USD on internet were stick to FB, I read their ebooks from CB and most of their formulas rely on Adwords as key step :-) Well, FB can be a great competitor to Adwords but it seems it needs more time. I have used FB ads for two months but it was not really effective, maybe I am not selling anything or maybe my targeting was not good!
        • Faissal Alhaithami says:
yeah ofcourse because Google adword really important as i have mentioned ..! and i'm totally agree with what you said about how pro marketer stick with the adword.! anyway, i guess you haven't used facebook ads rightly but if you looking to have anther one sooner or later, I'll be waiting for helping you achieve best result.
          • Tinh says:
Great, thanks. I will ask you when I want to advertise with FB
            • Faissal Alhaithami says:
              you welcome ^.^
  37. Alex says:
That's a great strategy Faissal, I know that facebook has super targeted ad impressions if you set all the things right when you add the campaign. But I would not suggest selecting the demographics by the likeliness to click an add, but I would recommend to research the product you are selling, see what demographics is most likely to buy it (for example if you promote diapers, you can't set the demographics for the ages 14-18 because they have a higher CTR, but set the demographics for the ages 25-30+ which are more likely to produce buying customers).
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
Hi Alex.!! what an awesome point you have just mentioned :D here we need to talk about how we need to think deeply for the age we need to target actually who we need to target ^,^great alex thanks for sharing your point!
  38. Sathish says:
I have read a lot of these Facebook Ads killed Google Adwords in the past, but in my opinion, the Facebook advertising system just can't compete with Google. You have told valid points in this article but we need to wait and see whether Facebook advertising program really killed Adwords. Sathish
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
ammm i respect your opinion :) due to facebook has it power in the points that i have talked about in my article and google has it power in different points!! but why don't you try it by your self.? i always ask people to start with 50$ and try it and you know what eventhough you don't have any experience in there ad system or you haven't did all the strategies that can make you massive of result ( you will benefit) @_@ cuz the percentage of losing your money in facebook ad is really low!! while in google any mistake can cost you all your money ~_~" and if you will try it ! please don't forget to contact me for any help !!
  39. Andreas says:
Facebook ads are much more targeted that google adsense and reach a target audience of higher quality. You can be much more specific about the pages where you will place the ads than in google.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
yep this is right !! the much you could be specific the more you get result ^_~
  40. Nabil says:
I can see why Facebook is better than AdWords. I've been attracting lots of customers to my website via Facebook. And I must say that it has been a pretty easy task -- whether you believe or not. The key to getting lots of loyal customers that'll love you -- from Facebook -- is to either provide an ad that is freakin' funny, or use the new feature called sponsored stories. The first one is self-explanatory. The second one - about them sponsored stories - may not be. Well, people tend to start liking stuff other people like. And that is why it is so effective. It works really good and I recommend to anyone!
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
awesome..! so we have got a big fan of facebook ad system here ^,^ yeah and i'm super agree with your point that the funny ad could attract more people .. furthermore, study case shows that red color ads are more able to attract people so you know all of this are factors that we can use and tips that will make us alot of leads and traffic with the people loyalty :D thanks alot for you additional info ..

Thanks so much for the post. I have had a facebook page for a while but am new to using it for marketing. It seems like it is a great way to connect with people and build good relationships. My only concern is that it is all impulse ad clicks and not things that people are actually searching for so I agree we will need adwords and facebook. Thanks for the very useful information! Keith

Great post Faissal. Do you have any thoughts about the best and most affordable way to build a custom Facebook page. Learn FBML or use a service/programmer?
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
as a matter of fact, you can find a ready Facebook static FBML pages or codes that you just need to change few things on it that you don't need to pay any penny for it and i can tell that there is alot of them if you search in google and youtube. go here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbbtawGnPYA this is a quick video showing you how to create it and go for related videos to learn more actually in the same video you gonna find a link for free FBML codes. On the other side, you can pay for other static pages and i don't suggest it as long as you can get the free ones that work very well for you. if you need a help or question reply me with it and will be pleased to help you.

  46. TJ McDowell says:
I've never tried Facebook ads to this point, but from other people that I've talked to, the reason Facebook is so popular is because you can set your cost per click at an incredibly low value. Nobody wants to pay more than they have to in order to land a customer.
    • Faissal Alhaithami says:
yep! furthermore, the result is awesome too!! if you wanna try it, just go with it with a 50$ first and you'll see what i'm talking about! and if you want a help just let me know and I will be happy to help you with it.

Hi Faissal, Great post and boy are you ever right. I was a little slow on the draw but just recently created my FB Fan Page. I do have an opt-in script as well that leads people to download my info. I can see where this is more of a win win situation for anyone eager to build a list, build relationships and promote their products. I never was comfortable using Adwords and am so thrilled that Facebook ads is available. I love how you can really pinpoint your demographics to a tee! Have used them and had much better outcomes. Thanks for sharing this information. Always great to learn more and understand the importance of going in certain directions. Adrienne
