Why I Love this Brilliant Information Product: “You Don’t Need a Job; You Need Guts”

November 21, 2011 - Last Modified: May 18, 2014 by Farnoosh Brock 1,364

You Don't Need a Job; You Need Guts

There is no shortage of information out there. There is no lack of resources or learning opportunities. There is hardly anytime to even read what you have already bought, much less the stuff that is free. I mean, seriously, this information age with this instant internet accessibility has only made us busier than ever.

But it has also made us happier, more educated, better equipped for a life on our own terms, and that, my friends, is powerful!

Speaking of life on your own terms, which is both my mission and goal for Prolific Living as well as my main priority above others, I want to tell you about a book that had an indelible impact on me.

I read a lot. I read books, digital and the paper kind. I read magazines, blog posts, articles, PDF files, and short stories. Generally, I consume a ton of information by reading, and I am always behind on my list.

One day, I came across a book called “You Don’t Need a Job; You Need Guts.” It was part of the training program I had invested in, and this was one of the resources. I was familiar with the author, Ash Ambirge, and if her story and her life doesn’t inspire you, few things will, but even so the material you purchase has got to stand up on its own, whether or not the author had a difficult childhood and adulthood is irrelevant.

And her work does stand on its own brilliantly.

I read this entire book in one sitting and it is a product that I recommend above everything else. I should add that I do not endorse products lightly, and I am highly difficult to please as a customer but when it happens, I become an impassioned speaker on the topic and that’s what happened here.

Why I Love this Brilliant Information Product

Ash is a brilliant online entrepreneur and in her work, she makes the case of working for yourself so crystal clear and so logical that is impossible not to feel a sense of urgency to create your own business and to rely on yourself and yourself alone for the future. In other words, you do not need a job, or another job, or a great job, or the right job. You need guts to create your future and to run your own life on your terms.

You Don’t Need a Job, You Need Guts

Having come from the corporate environment and now thriving on the other side of the fence, I can say without a doubt that her concepts and points valid and smart, and that it is my sincere hope that those who read it make the right move at the right time – the earlier, the better but not too late until it’s too late – in their life to taste the freedom that empowerment about which Ash writes and for which I can vouch.

Get the book – because you do have guts, even if you don’t just know it yet

According to Ambirge, this book is mainly targeted at beginners who are interested in digital entrepreneurship, but do not have a web presence yet, and perhaps they have one that is not yet as effective or as far advanced.

The book talks about the philosophy of work and guides readers on the kind of digital business that best suits their interests, from the principles of running a business online to a step-by-step process, including tools, tips, tricks & the various ways to finally start making money.

Her writing is exquisite, witty, to-the-point, sharp and intelligent – and impossible to put down. But the point she is making here invaluable, and I will be advocating this message for a very long time.

Get The Book

The question is: Will you be hearing and implementing this important message in your own life?

As the saying goes, no guts, no glory! Thanks for sharing this inspiring article...

That pretty much tells how the whole book is written. Thanks for the review, it should help inspire budding entrepreneurs.Sounds like it’s packed with some great insights.

I have defended in this post , we learn to be creative and a new type of capitalism (capitalism, creative). Some people agree with me and the writers and entrepreneurs who spoke and presented with some of his work. However, many of those who say they agree, in fact change the course of things?do. Learning the depths of Social Entrepreneurship has made me realize many things in my own life. I have been taking the wrong approach towards life which took me towards the path I never wanted to take in the first place. Beginning with the crystal clear clarity about my goals and taking every one I know into consideration is the next step I intend to take very seriously.

You don't need guts, you need determination, lots of it. You need to keep on learning and working when others had stop. I found that successful people work a lot, much more then everybody else dose, this is the way the do it, by learning and updating themselves everyday while keeping motivation high.
  5. Ricardus says:
Most of my peers do have the guts that is why they start their own site now.
  6. Khleo Thomas says:
I do have guts which is why I am now working for myself running my website. It is not making money yet but I am working on it. I may check out this book and using the principles taught in it to try to make this work.
    • Farnoosh says:
Hi Khleo, wonderful then. Many more principles she talks about so I hope you find them useful as I did. :)
  7. Shamelle says:
Hey Farnoosh, you seem to be everywhere I read! I remember I first heard about “You Don’t Need a Job; You Need Guts” from the middle finger project. This was several months ago. It went into my wish list and I did actually buy and read the book! Awesome. A few things that I still remember, from the book... it was a good wake up call. It made me sit and think & figure out what I am truly happy doing. Then how to take that interest and build a business around it. I also enjoyed her personal story of how she got started online and the journey thus far.
    • Farnoosh says:
Not everywhere, dear, but I love the illusion I am creating, Shamelle :)! So I am very proud of you for having read and consumed all of this already. And the actions that you followed through with - well, all I can is A+ and keep at it.
  8. Tony Scott says:
Wow, the book really looks interesting. The title itself got me hooked. I love the message that is being shared by the author. On the other hand, I guess that being an entrepreneur works for everyone so I guess that the readers who are inspired by the thoughts from the book should contemplate a lot before venturing out to entrepreneurship.
    • Farnoosh says:
Hi Tony, I'm afraid no, being an entrepreneur does NOT work for everyone. Ash and I both advocate that, yes, but that does not mean it's for everyone. You have to get to know yourself first. What is it that you are pursuing in this life?
  9. Dave Pilgrim says:
Farnoosh is right. Far to often we try to find the right thing rather than doing just something. Since we often look for the perfect scenario for so long we find and do nothing. Often times we have enough information. We just lack the action. Thanks Farnoosh for reminding me of that aspect.
    • Farnoosh says:
Thank you Dave. You are very welcome and I hope this gives you the friendly nudge to focus on the action part then!
  10. Raj says:
I love the title - If the author has managed to come up with such a title, the content should be great too! I generally judge new books by reading one page - That pretty much tells how the whole book is written. Thanks for the review, it should help inspire budding entrepreneurs. But I feel that the 'freedom' part of it is a myth - One is harder with oneself than any boss can be!
    • Farnoosh says:
She is a genius, Raj, and I know you'd enjoy the book even more. The freedom part is NO myth. Being hard on yourself is not the opposite of freedom. It is embracing freedom to where you dno't want to lose it so that you are keeping yourself accountable to creating that freedom. :)
  11. Radu says:
Hello Farnoosh, even though i'm a silent reader this product made my day. Is it true that in the current world financial situation you need to be bold to survive. If you will stay and hibernate your chances of success will be dramatically shrinked.
    • Farnoosh says:
Hi Radu, I love my silent readers - are you one of mine or one of Famous Bloggers? :) Either way, glad you decided to say something .... You need to be bold to survive, period, but you can do it while still being silent and shy, don't worry, Radu :)!
  12. Ileane says:
Hi Farnoosh, I love the title of the book and getting an endorsement from you means a lot. Sounds like it's packed with some great insights. Thanks for the review!
    • Farnoosh says:
Ileane, I don't endorse stuff lightly and this is one great read. I hope you get a chance to catch the full version at some point. :)
