Cost of Piracy

For decades, it was claimed that online piracy cost the US economy up to $250 bilion dollars and 750.000 jops per year. However, in 2010, the Government Accountability Office released a report that announced that those figures “can not be substantiated”.

How are business truly impacted, and how do Americans feel about this issue?

They have disconnected her internet. She called the internet supplier and told them her family didn't download or copy any games but they don't want to hear it. They flatly refuse to listen to her.

This is a great and of course not an ordinary post. All the numbers are truly enormous and the cost for the economy also very big, but it's a good question for all of us is, why someone buy a product which can find it for free. The answer concerns the moral human and on how much people are aware of what kind of problems may cause to other people with their actions.Thank you for sharing.

I think Piracy has impacted businesses a lot. Why would people purchase music if they can download for free? What about programs and movies and such? It used to be that people acted more on conscience, but these days people seem to be able to somehow blindly justify doing the wrong thing. Pirating is taking someone elses work and essentially stealing it.

Secure digital screeners may even put a dent in piracy and the common practice of letting friends borrow the discs in advance of release. It is really a serious crime. But nowadays people are not talking this serious. really sad news...
  5. Bishwajeet says:
Most of the guys who love piracy are the students who don't think that it would be worthy to pay for music and movies.

Hi Hesham This is an interesting article and I've found that people I know who pirate software and music don't think that this is a victimless crime. I've been offered free software, free music, free movies - I'd rather just pay the money and if I don't have the money, then I wait until I do. My thought is that I don't like people taking me for granted while I'm trying to build my business. I don't feel sorry for the musicians, movie studios, or software companies - but it's funny that when I turn it around and apply this problem to my business, I become protective It'll be nice for us to find a common ground.
