When was the Last Time you Helped a Blogger?

September 16, 2010 - Last Modified: September 16, 2010 by Hesham Zebida

Blogging Community

A question came into my mind today while thinking of our blogging community, and how we could support each other for real, and what I mean by “for real” is not by tweeting your blog post or adding a comment here or a vote there, I am talking about real support by solving a problem.

If you think/feel you support others, maybe OTHERS don’t think/feel they got your support!

This could be a strange way of thinking for some of you, but it happens a lot in our real life, especially with people who set a big goal which is helping others, you start to think you did a big favor for someone, and they don’t appreciate it -I am not trying to say they are bad people- they just don’t feel the same way! they didn’t receive it the same way you think, or in a better words, they didn’t get value from your support to think of it as a big favor!

Does it matter?

It doesn’t really matter, and it shouldn’t matter to you, I mean think of how many people in this world you can help just by blogging everyday about something useful, something you think it’s useful, others don’t think so! they hate you already after the first visit! some others don’t even care to know who you are, and probably you will never get a chance to meet with them in real life!

Good things will happen soon, I am a big believer!

I know.. it’s a long road.. But, keep doing the good work no matter what!

And, If you need my assistance on anything related to blogging, don’t hesitate to add a comment or contact me directly, I don’t mind to help if I can!

Now Tell me plz,

When was the last time you helped a Blogger?

Here is a way H I think might help a blogging community here. And thats starting a possible Famous Blogger mastermind community with top bloggers . Serious people online. Whether they are blogging as online entrepreneurs, internet marketers, or bloggers in any niche. A way to connect and build a serious network. Say only roughly 100-200 bloggers total then close doors. allow 20-50) to enter at a time. Have mastermind sessions to help via forum and even via skype and or webinar (with no sales) . And dea to think about. Email me if you have questions.

Hi Hesham, Great thinking and great post. I remember date of my decision for blogging, that was about 1 month ago. I came here, got great recommendation from you and very warm welcome. I have some good relationship with others. And yes, last time I help other blogger was 2 days ago, when we chat via Facebook and he almost given up on his blog, so I gave some recommendation for the change and some recommendation to get traffic.
  4. Usama says:
That kind of positive attitude is needed in bloggers. Help others, help you. Very good thinking. Thanks.
  5. Pritam says:
Yes, we should help other bloggers, all the way we can or at least we should take some time from our schedule. Sometime it helps us also because we can learn something out of this. We should write good informative articles and comments on the questions posted by them. And really we should not care whether people appreciate us or not.

I'm not too cool at blogging yet but the last time I helped a fellow blogger was when I suggested (and told how) to change the time setting in wordpress to local. So posts and comments show the right time (and date ;))
  7. Julius says:
You mention a great point here Hesham, helping other bloggers. I believe that this is extremely important when you are blogging. But not only in blogging, but also in life. Just reach out to other people and help them when they need your help. You shouldn't wait for them to ask you but you should realize when they need help.
  8. TJ McDowell says:
I think doing something for someone without expecting anything in return makes a great business person. The people who are genuinely interested in other people tend to be the most successful - in every sense of the word.

Great Post Hesham ! I am thinking. I don't know about this. If you ask me, I think I have not helped any bloggers. Can tutorials considered as a help ? Like some of the newbie bloggers have asked help and I have helped them out. If it does, then I have certainly helped someone. But I still don't get it. Unless someone asks us for help, how would we know that they need help.

Great post Hesham helping other bloggers is good and has you have said in your post you write about things that helps but for some it doesn't feel that way, again you keep echoing the sentiment blogging is not a one man game. Nice article written with soul and purpose in mind.
  11. Cindy says:
nice to you see being more open in this post, Hesham :) Even if I still feel like a newbie, I helped a of bloggers because I hate the idea of competing against each other.

hesham! i think its good to put this post up once in a while to let your visitors know that you are there if they need help. I think helping others is also about giving back to the community on what you've learned. I know you've responded to my help before, thx!
  13. noaspa says:
Hi Hesham, It's absolutely important to help whenever you can - and not just in the blogging world of course. But seeing how this post is to do with blogging, I'll just say this. No -one has helped me more than you - and I know I'm far from alone in saying that. As always Will P.S. Good things will happen soon ( definitely) ... and are happening now too ( absolutely)
  14. James says:

  15. Harriet says:
This was real interesting to read, I didn't realise just how much bloggers relied on help from commenters and other bloggers!
  16. Ben Lang says:
Hesham, Yeah you're right, I guess I was supposed to share how I help others, haha. Let's see well I do my best to help entrepreneurs starting out in the business world. Whether it be by promoting them, connecting them etc. When I started I need similar help and I got it from amazing people (like you of course) so I feel that I must give back...

Hi Hesham, A powerful reminder here. Let's see....you helped me by sharing some key pointers with me yesterday, which I appreciate ;) I tried to add some value with my feedback too. It's important to take a few moments to offer a helpful suggestion, maybe an email, tweet, etc. If you can help with a word of wisdom do so without hesitating. Don't expect anything in return from the fellow blogger and as you noted, good things will happen. Thanks for sharing Hesham. Have a nice weekend :) Ryan
    • Hesham says:

    • Hesham says:
I got your email Dan, many thanks for your kind offer! I will reply to you soon!
  25. Andrew says:
Aren't bloggers helping others via their content every time they publish a post? That's one way to look at it. But on a more serious note, I get plenty of emails everyday from people asking for advice. I do my best to respond to them all. Yesterday, I helped someone with their page layout. There was some 'funny' code which was messing up the page layout. It was a challenge and took me an hour to resolve. Plus, there is the forum for my private course members - they can and get advice 24 x 7. Andrew
    • Hesham says:
True! I also got help from you, I was one of those who email you ask for advise! Many thanks Andrew

Hi Hesham, I always try to extend the olive branch and let everyone know that they can count on me to help them when they need it. Lately I've been doing some trouble-shooting on CommentLuv after a few posts and video tutorials I did on the topic. Last week a young lady asked for my help with installing CommentLuv on Blogger and after I gave her a few tips she got things working and came back on the blog and said how glad she was that I didn't tell her to contact Support! It turns out what she really needed to do was get an account with Intense Debate. So you see there is a step missing from my instructions and it made me feel good that she and I both learned something from the exchange. Thanks for this post Hesham, you always know the right things to say to keep us motivated.
    • Hesham says:
Helping other in most cases will help "you"! I can not forget that you never let me down even once!
  27. Imran Yousaf says:
Hesham, when I help some blogger and if I know him/her, I feel immense pleasure and I try my level best to get his problem solved. From time to time, I help bloggers in wordpress, thesis and in SEO. Because I think i am good in these areas. Bloggers who seek help are very humble and they become best friend ever.
    • Hesham says:
You know who are the good people when you connect with them from the first time! many thanks Imran for your support, I got a piece of it for myself :)
  28. Rahul says:

  29. Cori Padgett says:
I don't know about everyone else, but I know you Hesham help me all the time! You're awesome and I love your heart.. this post just makes me realize that all the more. :) Xo
    • benin says:
Hi Hesham, I agree with Cori. Whether its direct or through your websites you have made quite an impact on the global blogging community. That's something that says a lot. Because, the life-cycle of a bloggers blog has the steepest hurdles at the beginning. That is to say when a new blogger makes that initial foray into blogging there are so many questions. They relate to design, traffic, advertising, affiliate marketing, and so much more. Yet this is also the time when not many people are listening to the blogger-so they don't know who to turn to for help. Famous Bloggers has the type of visibility that makes it easy for new bloggers to find. And if new bloggers who read sites such as Famous Bloggers took and implemented only one strategy mentioned here and did that one thing really well, then that...my friend is real progress. Thanks for all that you do.
      • Ben Lang says:
And I agree with Cori and benin... You've helped me so much which is why I'm always trying to help you out as much as I can. You truly deserve praise for all that you've done for everyone :)
        • Hesham says:
Thank you Ben, next time I want to know how you helped others! I am sure you do!
        • Benin says:
Well said Ben. I could not have said it better myself!
      • Hesham says:
I wish all people like you!
    • Hesham says:
      Speechless!
