SEO Q&A – Develop your Search Engine Optimization Techniques

May 31, 2011 - Last Modified: November 6, 2013 by Hesham Zebida

SEO Q&A

Some times we need to visit new websites, involve ourselves into more interesting communicating ways and keep engaging with new people who have same interests, this is really helpful because those who have same interests are the ones who mostly can help you out.

Note This site has been abandoned, so I’ve updated this post. This article is outdated.

If you know me, then maybe you know that I like Q&A websites, but what about a SEO Q&A site?

I actually had several attempts to create my own version for blogging niche while testing a few CMS platforms, themes, modules, plugins and other stuff. I must admit that I had no success till now and I am still looking around for interesting stuff to share and blog about it.

This is the first SEO site I’ve seen so far! I came across it last week, so I thought to share it with you, it’s called SEOnky, and it’s mainly focusing on SEO questions & answers provided by it’s members. I like the idea because who doesn’t have some SEO questions in his/her mind?

So, instead of finding information you need on traditional bookmarking sites as they provide it, we actually can have more fun spending quality time while asking our own questions, or from the other side trying to answer SEO questions that we already know!

SEOnky.com – SEO Q&A

At SEOnky.com you can ask and answer questions, comment and vote for questions and answers, but what I really like about is the active community which is missing on other sites I’ve visited before.

Another really cool thing about SEONKY is the ability to revise and enhance both questions and answers by the members, and I personally think this will give a big push to the quality of it’s content. It’s really interesting idea to develop search engine optimization techniques.

Hesham. I'm wondering...do you get paid for these posts? And if so what is the going rate these days for a sponsored blog post? Do to the way you have keyword linked to the seonky site I assume you were paid for it.
  8. TJ McDowell says:
Have you found the community to be a good mix of experts and question askers? I think the trick is not to have too many people who think they know the answer without really knowing what they're talking about.

Looks like a good idea to have SEO FAQ's and articles all in one place, this site will take quite a lot of marketing to really get started though.

Its really a wonderful idea. There are always lot of confusions and queries regarding small tits bits about SEO. Hope it will help in quality discussion. And wow! 16 GB wi-fi ipad?
  13. Patrick says:
That site looks interesting. I'm sure it will start dominating the search engines itself soon once it has a large database of questions. I remember when I first started seo I asked a question on yahoo answers about it and got horrible answers. This seems like a much better way to go about it, thanks for the share.
    • Suresh Khanal says:
I agree Patrick. SEO is a big topic and a dedicated QA site is what it deserves. It will certainly be quality time as everybody is concerned to SEO questions. Yahoo answers always bounces back horrible responses.

  17. Bjorn Johansen says:
This site looks promising. I have been using Yahoo answers for a short while, but the communty part of Ya is not any good(probably because of the uneccesary Ypuls integration) People dont use avatars, and few cares to vote and choose best answers. I also like the idea of a SEO niche spesiafic QnA communety. Is the links dofollow or is it nofollow like Ya?
  18. Riya says:
Great site I too was looking for some site like this and finally got it. thanks for sharing info..
  19. Barbara Ling, Mama Bear says:
Okay, this is *massively* cool. I already have a Ask MamaBear link on my site, but I can immediately see how such a resource could really add a new dimension to the site! I wonder what plugin it uses?
    • Barbara Ling, Mama Bear says:
      Found it! http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/qa-wordpress-questions-and-answers-plugin

Hello, everyone, I am David and I am relatively new to the internet. As you can imagine , I don’t know too much about any of this yet but I am learning. I think that bloggers are some of the most helpful people there are. They are where I get all of my information. Thank You for this great post. I think what I really need is a coach.
  22. Pritam says:
Its really a cool idea of having such a site where someone can actually learn, ask and reply about SEO. I have seen the details of iPad contest which is very tempting.
  23. Mahesh Rathi says:
I think they should do well, as long as they’re not abused. There are a few Q & A sites like yahoo, but none are target specific as far as I know. It will be interesting to see how long that link remains do follow ;-)
    • Edward Lee says:
Hi Mahesh, It's your opinion but the Q&A sites are target specific and proper managed sites. Thanks Regards Edward Lee. Senior Q&A Engineer
  24. Henway says:
I think a SEO Q&A site is a great idea, I actually am sick and tired of forums as there's so many pointless questions and speculations. having a Q&A site would weed out these bad trivial questions and posts.
