January 30, 2010 - Last Modified: February 14, 2013 by Hesham Zebida

famous bloggers dofollow blog

Stop wondering if Famous Bloggers is Dofollow blog or not, yes it’s a DoFollow blog since a few days back, we decided to let PageRank flows the way it like, but of course we will be watching the bad guys, so don’t think you will take advantage of our blog by your spammy comments unless you really working hard to get it.

We requested today to include our FamousBloggers blog at DoFollow.info which is a project of our friend Kristi and it a very nice DoFollow blog directory that you should be part of. So, if you have a dofollow blog this is another reminder for you to go a head and register your blog hopefully Kristi will approve it.

To get a better blog image

We are using FamousBloggers also became a keywordluv blog, means you will get extra backlinks to your blog while having fun adding comments to our blog, I would like to remind you how we depend on you and try to create content from comments, so keep your comments valuable and helpful for our readers and don’t forget to retweet our posts after commenting on them, we challenge you that your follower will love your tweets.

What DoFollow plugin you are using?

We are using Lucia’s Linky Love plugin which is not supported anymore but I like it’s options, anyways I am open to your suggestions, I need to know which DoFollow plugin should we use, I will switch to the most suggested plugin.

So, plz Go leave a comment and tell me which DoFollow plugin you are using.

Dofollow or notFollow is not important to me. For me, building genuine relationship is much more valuable.

Great post - I will be doing the same on my blog. I do have a question, however - is there any downfall to having the 'Do Follow' on. Does Google actually 'leave your site' when it hits the link, or does it just 'bookmark' the link for traversal when it is finished with your site? I will look for the new post on this topic you indicated you were writing. Thanks! Paul.

This whole do follow and no follow business really is a pickle that google and spammers have got us into. There has to be a better way of doing this than all these plugins for one version or another. Are you not worried though that the dofollow links people leave will be to bad neighbourhood sites and that will then affect your rankings in google? I've heard that if you link out to too many bad sites you get penalised! And all for letting people blog on your site. I think Google should come out and be a little bit more clear on these issues. Matt Cutts seems to dance around, a hint here, a hint there but never a definitive do this do that. I think if more people knew the rules and knew it was a level playing field they would adhere. As it is I know competitors who spam away and never seem to lose their rankings so it makes it tempting to go down the dark road. I resist in the hope you play the long game and you get rewarded. Cheers Josh

I have a few sites with the keywordluv, commentluv and dofollow plugins. They seem to attract a bit of spam but it's not too bad. And anyway it's always in our own hands to approve or not approve a comment. It was interesting to read that you set your plugin to only remove the nofollow after a few postings. I didn't realize that was an option. Quite a good idea. .-= James @ Lathes For Sale´s last blog ..Wood Turning Project =-.

I hope anyone reading this post who has dofollow blogs that use the CommentLuv KeywordLuv plugins will visit the post I'll feature in CommentLuv in this comment and leave the links in the comments so I can add them to the list in that post. Spam is always an issue but it is a small price to pay for supporting other bloggers and businesses and bringing more interaction to our blogs.

Unfortunately dear blog with blogger platform can not use any plugins. But bloggers can be changed html only. Great info , thanks .-= Bang Ir´s last blog ..One dollar Only from the Free Twitter Software =-.

Hesham - There may be something wrong with your plugin...I have way more then 3 comments on this blog and even those with 20 or more are showing as no follow. .-= Dennis Edell´s last blog ..Hello & Welcome To The All New – DennisEdell.com/DirectSalesWebMarketing.com Merged – Direct Sales Coaching Blog! =-.
    • Hesham says:
Maybe the plugin will not count your old comments!
      • Dennis Edell says:
OK then Latief left 49 comments in just the last few days? lol And the second part, why are some do and others not....Lucias can only be set to a maximum of 10 .-= Dennis Edell´s last blog ..Hello & Welcome To The All New – DennisEdell.com/DirectSalesWebMarketing.com Merged – Direct Sales Coaching Blog! =-.
        • Gail says:
It occurs to me that Lucia's probably uses the name field to count comments so anyone who uses different keywords will have multiple goals to achieve to ever get anything to go dofollow. The same issue is going to affect Top Commentator plugins. Dennis Edell has also switched to NoFollow Free. That seems to be the most used plugin for that purpose. Since WordPress has an option to only allow comments to appear immediately after one has been approved, I wish someone who believes there is merit to making commentators hit some number before their comments go dofollow would explain to me what they see as the benefit.
          • Hesham says:
In a few minutes I will publish a new post about a new WordPress plugin that gives you the option to control Dofollow/Nofollow links in Wordpress blogroll, I see that this is another approve that Dofollow still matter! Dofollow and Nofollow both are backlinks but nofollow won't pass the link juice to the link!
          • Dennis Edell says:
The benefit is to ensure you're only giving juice to those that deserve it; regular or even semi-regular commenters, not just fly-by spammers and one-offs only looking for a quick back link
          • Dennis Edell says:
What is the reason you think I switched?
  8. Dennis Edell says:
I am currently using Lucias also, but had no idea it was now unsupported. Unsupported plugins scare me a bit, so I may switch to NoFollow Free since it has the same feature I like. .-= Dennis Edell´s last blog ..Hello & Welcome To The All New – DennisEdell.com/DirectSalesWebMarketing.com Merged – Direct Sales Coaching Blog! =-.
  9. Anne says:
Congrats on the move! I've been dofollow on b6s.net from the start and I have a couple more dofollow blogs too. I need to install the plug-in on a bunch of other blogs I own. Bookmarked Kristi's site and will submit my sites when I'm done. I use a regular dofollow plug-in btw. .-= Anne @ b6s.net´s last blog ..Web News & Views #6 =-.

  10. Latief says:
I can't remember it bro, I just installed few plugin including do follow, I think it was no follow free or something :D BTW, anyone can help? There's always a message from commentLuv everytime I left comment on commentluv blog. It is said: bad juju just happened,..... why? anyone can help? please.....
    • Hesham says:
I think is "bad juju just happened" is a message to tell you there is a problem or error in CommentLuv server! Do you have an account at ComLuv? have you registered your blog?
      • Latief says:
I have an account on CommentLuv and registered my blog, the message shown up about two days after I signed up. Before I created that account I never receive that message. Any suggestion? Please....
        • Anne says:

I'm using "Do Follow" plug-in by Denis de Bernardy that I found by doing a search via Wordpress. Just letting you know that your comments are not do-follow. I use a firefox plugin that highlights any links that are no-follow and it is high lighting the links in your comments. I use a plugin found here: http://www.semiologic.com/software/dofollow/ on a couple of my blogs.
    • Hesham says:
Of course I know that, I actually set the plugin to remove the nofollow tag after a few comments from the same account, this to keep spammers away from our blog luv unless they are really working hard to get it.
  19. Karen says:
I'm using the NoFollow Free plugin on my blog, it has some brilliant options such as only becoming DoFollow after a certain amount of comments, I used to use Lucia's Linky Love plugin, but I found this one a lot better ;) .-= Karen @ Blazing Minds´s last blog ..SANYO Incognito, Nice Looking Mobile Phone and an Unlimited Plan =-.
