How to Benefit from Blogging

December 21, 2010 - Last Modified: December 21, 2010 by Rajan Balana

Benefits Of Blogging

I’ve started my blog 4 months ago. In my personal opinion blogging is little bit tough job, but it is interesting too. Blogging becomes more interesting if you are getting huge amount of responses and appreciation from your blog readers. Although it’s another way of making money, but not everyone can really make money from it as this requires a lot more work.

Since I started my blog, I am experiencing a few changes in my way of thinking, strategy and knowledge base.  I’ve leaned about “Niche Blogging”, niche blogging means you write about a specific topic, and you must pay attention to your writing as niche blogging needs a lot of research and assuredness which -indirectly- improves your overall knowledge and expertise.

There are many benefits of starting a blog which I am discussing with you, may be it leads to bring up your interest in this field.

Few of the Most Noticeable Benefits From Blogging

Keeps You Busy

Blogging is a dynamic job, all the updates of blogging are shown at the homepage of blog which is also a dynamic page. Due to dynamicity of blogging it keep you busy in collecting more and more updates and to make you and your blog readers aware about them.

According to me, blogging does not keep me busy rather it keeps me VERY busy! Blogging is not only about writing good content its also about working on promotion, SEO and link building. No Worries! If you are an individual with lot of free time, you can utilize it by choosing part-time blogging as a hobby.

Improve Your Experience

As blogging is always known as niche blogging, it needs you to write on specific topic (field). For retrieving good content for your readers, you need to lots of search and re-search about that topic. On one side you are searching and reading lots of topic in your blog niche, on the other hand your mind’s harddisk is getting filled with huge amount of knowledge.

Mark Your Presence on Web (Exposure)

Blogging helps you to mark your presence in the huge world of web. How you will feel while searching for “rajan (your name)” Google suggests are you, Are you searching for “Rajan Balana (Your Full Name)” isn’t this great!! Currently Google is not suggesting my name as I am new but soon I will become popular through my blog and people will start searching my name and Google will suggest it!!! 😛

Expanding Friend Circle

Making online friends through social networking websites is a good experience, but making friends through your hobby i.e. blogging is a different scenario. Blogging invites more friends and form a community around your blog.

In my own experience, I have got lots of friends through blogging, earlier I had just just 100 friends on Facebook but now the count is going to touch the figure of 500. Can you believe in the initial stages of blogging, it has increased my network upto five times, can you guess the count in later stages?

Increase your positive attitude

Blogging is a very positive natured task; it needs lots of patience and positive thinking. While blogging, you always need to be positive towards the result, most of the new blogger think that within the few months of blogging they will start getting amount of traffic and money to. But it is just a myth; the fact is blogging is not an ATM machine, in which you inserted few articles and starting withdrawing money from it. All I say is be positive and keep blogging because “Each Blog Has its Day”.

I find it pretty useful to do a bit (I mean a lot) of keyword research prior to creating content or more importantly choosing a niche, but as many people are new when they launch they first blog. They don't realize the importance of keyword research and its implementation.
  2. Claire says:
Totally agree. Niche blogging is one of the best ways to earn money. But it requires a lot of patience & hard work.
  3. Vivek Parmar says:
niche blogging is only successful when you are able to write without thinking of. As i have choosen my niche wordpress, webdesigning, webhosting, photoshop already there are top blog blogs but working hard to make my blog comes in that list and already my work is appreciated by some top notch bloggers and asking me to work with them :) with the condition that you have to stop blogging on your blog. that's impossible..

Good Post. I quiet like this statement of yous where you mentioned "blogging is not an ATM machine" - Indeed we need to give our total dedication and hardwork to get the rewards.

Blogging is more time then the average person can imagine, it not going to happen over night..not at all. If your looking to make online..then you best to get an positive attitude and wait for that train to pull off. "Black Seo Guy "Signing Off"

You said that each blog has it's day. How long did it take before your blog had it's day? Would you say your blog has even gotten that far yet?

Hi Rajan, Good post, I always say; To survive in the blog world must you write quality before quantity, have a special niche blog, interesting titles and texts so the readers stay and I think you have this three things in you blog.
  8. Brad Gosse says:
Great post. What I really like about running a video blog is that I go to events and conferences people tell me they feel like they already know me. It's as if I made thousands of cold calls that weren't annoying. And instead of people avoiding me they approach me. The other side benefit if you have a really good blog is that potential business start contacting you.

Bloging is also great for Self Development, over the course of months, and years, you will learn so much, everyday there will be something new that you will learn, that will make you as a person better, in terms of how to maybe write better, how to handle objections, how to handle criticism, & you will notice that difference over time. Example When you first start to blog, and you get criticism for something, this might really effect you, and get you down. A year down the line You get criticized, but because you are now that 1 year more experience, you will have a different approach to that criticism or comment, This is just one example, but overall blogging is great for self development.

Blogging keeps me busy too! I've been working hard at this for the past few months but I have to push even harder for 2011. You're right trying to make money on your blog takes a while to kick in. (well it depends on how you monetize your blog) One of my goal for 2011 is to monetize my blog the right way...
  15. Shiven says:
Hello Rajan, Blogging, undoubtedly is invincible and at the same time an effective money raiser if directed along the right domain.Niche blogging, as you stated is one such form. Different from the same,it could be a much greater hobby which could harness one's language skills and thought process instead of killing time. But any kind of a profound blog always lead a bundle of crowd behind it as followers. So this becomes the basic objective for an author even behind his heart to write quality matter. Indeed this is one among few tough tasks in web-logging!! How do you plan to tackle one such problem? Expecting a reply sooner, Shiven
    • Rajan Balana says:
Hello Shiven, As I am new blogger, Basically I research a lot about my niche and search various channel (sources) of knowledge. It's a tough job to find out what you will write next but you can take the following steps to find out: -> Google Trends -> Feedback from Readers -> Yahoo Buzz, Google Tech Search (Blog Search). I follow my fellow bloggers for getting the idea about the content. I hope I have successfully answered your query. Thank You Shiven. :)
