Hey, Great idea Hesham. Here is my question. Ques) Will submitting an original article from my blog to community websites such as Blog Engage, SERPd or Blokube have any effect on my search engine rankings? What about the Duplicate content implications? Thanks.

Hi. I'd like to ask if reverse SEO exists? Meaning you can "optimize" a site so that it falls rank position on Google, ie competitor sites. Thanks.

Hey Nick, Here are my questions: 1. How do we optimize videos for search engines? 2. What video sites should we focus on? 3. How can we leverage videos to boost page rank for a vblog? 4. Should I type up everything I will say? Regards, Ugochukwu U. Opara

Search Engine Optimization is a very big and a time consuming process. But once done it builds a very good image for our website. I am more into e-commerce these days. But for me understanding the SEO process would take a while since I have just completed my masters in e-commerce and currently trying to get some practical experience from an SEO company. Please explain why Word Press and Joomla are important for this process. What exactly does Word Press and Joomla do?

Hey Nick, I am not going to stay and watch :) so ..here is my question! I knew recently about the microdata format and how it's used to tell search engines more specific information about the content of a page, so I spent a few days tweaking FamousBloggers.net to be able to publish reviews and give ratings to products, (hopefully Google will accept the site quickly when I submit it), I've used the schema that is recommended by Google. The question is, do you think adding microdata format enhance ranking even if keywords has high competition? Thanks in advance!

Thanks Hesham, I have a question on the way Google indexes the backlinks compared to Yahoo. When you look in Google for "site:www.xxx.xxx", versus Yahoo Site Explorer the indexed backlins are significantly lower in Google. Is there a stricter criteria Google looks for over Yahoo?
  8. Satrap says:
Great idea Hesham. My question would be, is getting a backlinks from a (PR0) inner page of a... lets says PR5 domain is more powerhouse than a backlink from an inner page (PR0) of a domain with lower PR?... Thanks in advance.
  9. Jonathan says:
Greetings! I actually do have a question in mind for which I've gotten many responses and would like your opinion. (being who you are!). I heard that when google "sees" 2 identical articles on different blogs, the second one written is sort of penalized and by that I mean that it won't show up in the searches or something like that. Anyhow, I was wondering: I usually post half of an article that I have on my blog, on other sites in order to backlink to mine and get them to visit my site. Am I in any way penalized for the fact that the same article (or half of it at least) shows up again and again on different sites/blogs/forums? Thanks in advance, Jonathan

Hi Hesham Here is my question for Nick: - How can one remove the unwanted crappy inbound linking done by a previous SEO company for a domain if it is reflecting in the WMT as external links. Looking forward to it.
  11. Phil Krnjeu says:
Thanks for looking taking questions! My question is on exact match vs. partial match in regards to links. What are your thoughts on partial match recognition, and where do you think partial match link recognition is going to take us? Are all major search engines implementing this?
  12. Isha Singh says:
Thanks Hesham, for the opportunity. i always had a question in my mind that " what the SEO effect after changing homepage title and meta tags of a well established blog?"
  13. Erik Emanuelli says:
Here is my questions : How exactly works PAGE RANK? How much is PAGE RANK important to rank in search engines? How many backlinks do I need to increase from PR3 to PR4? Thanks.
  14. Erwin Konig says:
My SEO question for Nick is: Building backlinks with misspelled keywords or typos in the anchor text can get your page penalized by Google? (I'm talking about a good amount of backlinks, not a small number that may be considered natural by Google) Thanks!
  15. Anas says:

I'm using the all-in-one-SEO-pack WordPress plugin on my blog, and I've run into conflicting advice regarding the mega title that shows up at the top of the browser screen. Some bloggers say to use an alternative title with keywords, and others say to use the same title that appears in the post so it will appear correctly on browser tabs. Which is the sound approach for SEO? Do you have other suggestions for the mega title? Thanks, Doug E.
  25. Ileane says:
Hi Hesham, I surprised to see that you got a hold of Nick. I've been commenting on his blog and trying to connect with him on SERPd and Blog Engage but he never responds. Good for you! When Hesham speaks everyone listens. I'll get my question posted later today. Thanks for the great opportunity.
  26. Suresh Khanal says:
This definitely is a great opportunity and we'll be utilizing it properly. BTW, looking at your title, I got confused, and again gave a second thought it might be something inside. Gone through your whole post and found that it was a typo? Must be because Hesham is too obsessed with thesis theme skins, the term is already attached to your finger tips ;-)
    • Hesham says:
Haha.. yeah, it took me a while to discover it :) Let's say this is a kind of search engine optimization :)
