You are absolutely right about the difference in blogging for personal reasons and business. Both are poles apart in my opinion, you have to stay to the point all the time, be relevant to your topic and be professional in what you post in case of blogging for business. But for personal pleasure, there is no hardcore rule for blogging to follow. Business blogging is no less than an important part of your marketing strategy so everything related to the blog with as much professionalism as any other marketing plan would receive. Great post by the way!

Hooray for infographics! Thanks for breaking everything down so thoroughly and in such a detailed way. Often, it can feel like flying blind unless you step back to look at the bigger picture in terms of your goals and objectives.

Hi Rob, Tremendous breakdown! You must have a clear and definite vision of what you intend to accomplish with your blogging efforts. This vision is critical to your success. Why? You need to see where you're going to get there. You need to have clear and distinct goals in mind in order to effectively reach them. Sounds simple but you'd be stunned at how few people really do set blogging goals, and even fewer reach them. Blogging for business requires as much time, if not more, than running an offline business. Imagine yourself running a brick and mortar store. If you opened a corner store you'd but your tail for 7 days a week, 10 or 12 hours a day. Get ready to put in a similar workload if you intend to rock it out with your blog...at least if you intend to make money with it. Thanks for sharing Rob! Ryan
