Monthly Report – September 2011

Another great month of blogging passed with all its hard work, it has been a long month, really! And here I am sharing my monthly report as I’ve promised you last month in my August monthly report to share how much I earn from my online business. That was actually my first report ever, and I haven’t got a chance to add my business expenses, but this month’s report has it all.

Finally, I took some good steps towards making this monthly report more complete, hopefully more useful and inspiring for you.

Just to remind you why I am doing this, it’s because many of my blog readers asked me about my blog earnings, and they wanted to know how much I earn online, so I thought to share it all on the blog. However, It wasn’t an easy decision, I won’t regret it if these reports adds value for you.

The most important things going on right now!

Before I start, I would like to give you a hint about the most important stuff going on FamousBloggers between August and September.

1- CommenLuv Premium Launch

The first thing I would like to start with is the CommenLuv Premium launch, it has been going well, and it’s interesting to see how Andy manage it. I’ve created a special page for the CommentLuv Premium using my Thesis Product Skin, just to show you how awesome this skin is. However, not sure yet what type of content I will be able to provide on that page, maybe something related to blog comments? 🙂

2- Ask our Guest

This is something pretty new here at FB. I was inspired by Nick Stamoulis when he offered to answer our reader’s SEO questions.

I can say that this is a really nice idea, and I am going to do more of it here on the blog, I also can allow our readers to recommend the guest and the topic, so you can choose (who and what). This could be a great source of information, and also a lot of fun 🙂

It’s simple, we published a post to get questions, we close comments after one week, then our guest answer these questions in a new blog post. If you would like to be featured on FamousBloggers, and if you can answer our reader’s questions in a specific topic, get in touch with me.

Also, this can be branded, I think thinking about calling it “Ask the Expert!“, but if you have any suggestion or idea that could help me to brand this special category for our guests, please let me know.

3- Best Selling Affiliate Products contest

The other thing that I want to highlight is our coming blogging contest.

ThesisAwesome.com has been my main stream of income since the last 9 months with more than $20.000 of income so far, you can say that this website can draw a smile on my face every morning; it’s so sweet to wake up and find out that you’ve made a few sales while sleeping.

I was planning to move the affiliate program to ShareASale.com because I want to organize the affiliate payouts to be on time without having to worry about it. I know it’s kinda expensive to join such network now, but still paying $650 to get a better service for your business and members is not a bad deal, but I decided to ask my members first, I didn’t want to surprise them with something that they maybe won’t like, and now I am waiting for the final decision, which is the members decision.

Expenses are the un-sexy part of every business, but to me, it’s not really a problem, I don’t mind spending money to make my business better, I feel satisfied when when I solve a business issue by buying a very useful plugin for my blogs, for example the Gravity forms plugin, which has changed my life, it cost me $180 to get the developer license to run it on all my blogs, I can say this worth every dollar!

I’ve renewed all my domain names this month, I added this to September expenses so I won’t dived it by months, I know this is not the right way to add it, but I just want to make things easier.

I love blogging contests, and I like to support fellow bloggers, so I’ve sponsored two blogging contests in September, this is a $350 has been added to my expenses.

Alright, you’ve got it all this time, income, expenses and my net total profit in September. My total income increased by $1,324.64 this month, which is really great, I didn’t expect it at all, this is a smashing record for me!

And, to be honest, I can not hide my feeling and doubts about October, not sure if I can make it this month, probably I won’t reach the same amount of profits for some personal reasons! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that type of personal stuff that I won’t share it with you, it’s something I would love to share, really! So I will tell you…

One of my dreams came true!

I’ve invested my September’s profit in inviting a VIP person – to me- to visit the States, it has been quite long time since we met. Two years… The longest period and farthest distance ever, finally we are together, my lady and I.

So, this is a fantastic family moments for me, and I am freaking busy in here!
