Today we are going to do our weekly round up. This week the round up is all about Google Adsense. Initially I only wanted to add Google Adsense articles to it but I didn’t find enough articles to solely focus on Adsense. That’s why I added the Internet Advertising category to it. I still hope you like it.

Tips to Sky Rocket Your AdSense Revenue – I enjoyed reading this post because I think all the important points that you need to keep in mind when using Google AdSense.
How Much Does Google Adsense Pay You? – This is a great article about how much Google pays you for every click the ad gets. If you are relying on Google AdSenseheavily then you must read this.
Simple Changes Doubled My AdSense Revenue – This is another article worth reading on AdSense. The tips he mentions here are definitely worth trying out and also easy to incorporate into your websites.
What’s Your Best-Performing AdSense Unit? – This is basically a discussion about what kind of AdSense units perform best. Definitely worth reading.
Google Scams – Another nice article which talks about the typical Google scams and how you can really make money through Google AdSense.
Increase Adsense Revenue: Google AdSense Revenue Sharing Sites for Backlinking – This is a hubpage dedicated to making money from Google AdSense. There is an interesting strategy that the author mentions to make more money and also to increase your traffic.

Tips to Get Your Website Noticed by Advertisers – I also enjoyed reading the post because I found the tips useful.
Use an Automated Email Responder and Get More Profit – This is a nice article by Andrew which explains the advantages of using automated email responders. Be sure to read it.
The Best Content Spinner Ever – This article talks about software called “content spinners” which help you to get some new content by “spinning” your articles. I am not sure how legitimate the review is but it seems interesting.
How to Get Your Business Online with a Shoestring Budget – This is a good post about how you can create your business online while only spending a limited amount of money.

Discussion: Making Money with Adsense?

In several articles I have mentioned above there is always the discussion of whether you can make money through Google AdSense. I have tried making money through it too but I haven’t been very successful. What do you think is essential to make money through AdSense? Have you built a website solely dedicated to making money from Google AdSense?

I have tried yahoo(media.net) and infolinks but adsense is best. They didn’t pay as much as Adsense does. I think adsense is the father of all publisher network.

When I started my blog I have read a lot about Google AdSense and how to make money from it? But after getting engaged with blogging it feels amazing and money is not the only concern. I haven’t put any ad at my blog yet. There are many bloggers who just think to manipulate Google for making some dollars. But in real sense they are temporary. Having Google AdSense ads is the way to make money if do hard work to drive traffic at our blog. Patience is what beginners need. Regards http://www.feedegg.net

Have tried AdSense before but I wasn't really successful. I think, selecting the right niche and how to drive traffic to your site and make them click to your ads were really harder than what I expected. And it takes time and tons of diligence are needed before you can earn decent amount of money. That made me think twice if it's really worth my time.

Great roundup. I've definitely heard some varying reviews on Adsense. A lot of people say they don't make as much money as they wanted with it. You need to have some serious traffic to have any chances of making some money. Hope to see more posts like this in the future!

  Thank you Laura. There are people making a lot of money through Adsense. But I personally think making money through Adsense is a lot harder than people think it is. And I would go much further: Adsense is not easy to use as most people describe. Yes it's true it's simple to set up and you can make money right away but still you need to have a lot of experience in order to make some decent amount of money through Adsense. I will definitely posts some more articles like this :)

Changes Doubled My AdSense Revenue is an interesting read. Nice list Julius. For what it is worth, you have the links opening up in this window, not a new window. You might lose a reader or two by doing that.

  I agree I think not only is the article you mentioned interesting but all of the posts I have mentioned. And yes we don't open the links in a new window. Yes you could lose a reader but I don't think we will :) Personally I think it doesn't make such a huge difference whether you open the link in a new window or not. If the visitors want to go back to FamousBloggers they can always hit the back button ;) Thanks Colleen.

I have been using google adsense, but never earn much out of it, I can honestly tell you, the best month I got was only $3.64. That's my best month.... lol If you ask me about adsense, I can only say, if your alexa ranking is near below 3000, most probably you can earn adsense out of it. Those people who said they can earn high income from adsense with a alexa ranking more then 3000... is almost bullshit. You ask me why? well... look if someone said I earn a few hundred dollar through adsense on my website and when you go check it's alexa ranking is around 100,000, tell me do you believe him... guess what? For those who is reading this, don't ever believe what I said above because that's just what I know and I know only the answer, I doesn't need the "why."

  Hmm interesting thoughts you have here. As I've already mentioned I have only earned $0.63 through Adsense which I believe is not that much. Still I don't even think that Adsense is so much about traffic. You could get so much traffic through social media sites still only a small percentage of people would click on those Adsense links. I think that the revenue you get from Adsense highly depends on the type of traffic you get with search engine traffic being the best. I also think that your niche is important. I mean it's extremely hard to make lots of money in the Internet marketing niche through Adsense. Otherwise most of the well-known bloggers would be using it, wouldn't they?     Well, I disagree with Bad Blogger's point of view. My Alexa rank is around 100k to 130K during last 3-4 months since, I joined Adsense and I am earning around 150$ each month. It's a PPC program so the has nothing related with traffic. Further conversion rate is also somehow important in Adsense. Regular visitors rarely click your ads and so if you really want to earn through adsense then you should increase your organic traffic through Google/search. I agree with what Julius Kuhn-Regnier explained here

    Hey Julius, sorry for the late reply! Yes, I am making money through Adsense, although I must say that the past few months it is declining. I have the impression that people are becoming "adsense-blind", be it psychological, or technical. I think many people are using adblockers these days. However, I used to make around 700-800$ a month.

I think that if you read the articles I have posted above then this will help you a lot to earn more money through Adsense. Just be sure to not to rely on Adsense to heavily since you are also close to the Internet marketing niche. I hope you enjoy our community ;)

  I can only tell you about my experience. I personally have made around $0.63 I think from Adsense. And that's when I used it on my blog. Of course it all depends on the niche and the way you approach things. But I would say that for the normal blogger it is not really worth it. On the other hand if you are blogging about let's say weight loss then Google Adsense might work very well. If you are not sure whether Adsense will work for you then read the Google scams article.       Yes I believe that the niche does have a big impact on the amount of money you can make through Adsense. But of course that's not the only factor. To be honest I believe that the traffic you get is also important and by traffic I mean the kind of traffic you get. The more traffic you get through search engines the better off you are.         You are right bro, Adsense totally depends on Niche...I say it by experience too. I get most of my earnings only through Affiliate marketing and Direct advertising...I have really not been able to click with Adsense since for adsense we need to have a specific niche but my blog is kind of a jumble up mixture of everything and has no niche so adsense fires up on me

    Ya... ur right normal blogger might not worth it, and yes weight loss might work, but I think the best of all is games, mp3, videos and handphone ringtone and application. Those site that rank the first page of google for their target keyword is almost earning through adsense to run their site. No doubt about it. But how much they earn, I'm not sure... who knows? may be is just a few hundres to thousands, may be someone can go contact one of the site admin and ask him or her when her earning comes from.... most probably you can interview him and put it up in famous blogger...

      Seems interesting. The niches you are talking about are all full of advertisers willing to spend money. That's why I think Google Adsense work well with them. The question in the end is whether something else works better. There are a lot of alternatives to Adsense and I think that sometimes Google Adsense is simply overrated. Thanks for the comment :)

Hey Julius, Honestly, I have started making money through Adsense generated through HubPages. I don't know that I'll ever create a website now when I could just rank a HubPage and make decent Adsense money off of that. But we'll see. I have a few sites climbing ranks at the moment and I will add Adsense once they get to the #1 or #2 spots in Google. Thanks for the articles!

  Interesting. Why are you using Hubpages? Why not Squidoo? Have you used the method that is talked about in one of the articles? Yeah if you add Google Adsense then be sure to read the articles I have mentioned above because they contain a wealth of information on Adsense. I have read all of them and I believe that I have learned a lot. In the end the most important part is to simply do some testing ;) Thanks for the comment Tia :)

    You're welcome, Julius! I haven't used the tactics in the revenue sharing article on HubPages just yet. I have heard of SheToldMe and RedGage. I'm certainly going to look into them because I adore making HubPages. Why HubPages over Squidoo: Smaller, more communicative body of writers, I guess. I think HubPages has done a better job at facilitating communication between hubs, making it easy to link to each other's hubs, and instituting a better voting system. Competitions also encourage visiting, and they now have Hub hopping which is similar to StumbleUpon. I guess the reasons I prefer it are actually endless. To me, it's hands-down the better way to go. I used Squidoo in the beginning but got jaded from lack of views and traffic. Too much stuff on that site.

      Alright these all seem like good reasons. I have only used Squidoo and I thought that it would at least drive some traffic directly to my lense but it didn't. That's why I stopped using Squidoo. If I will again try to use it I will rather check out Hubpages. How much money do you earn per month through Hubpages? And how much work was it to get your hubpages to the point where they start to rank well and make money? I am at the moment trying all sorts of different things out to make money and see which method works best for me. That's why I might have to check out Hubpages soon and I would love to get some additional information on it ;)

        Well, I haven't made so much - a little over $4 in the past week, with most of it coming from a hub I did on how to save money. Then again, I only joined HubPages 5 weeks ago and now have $19 hubs. I am planning to really ramp up the number of hubs I produce each week to around 5 per week. That should dramatically increase revenue. One of my hubs, on Kancamagus Highway Photography, gets over 10 visits per day from Google and ranks #3 for the phrase. That one doesn't bring in very much with Adsense but I have started monetizing it with Amazon today. You're right that it's about niche's. I make sure my hubs are very, very focused. The more detailed and focused they are, the more likely the ads will be relevant. My Tucson hubs end up with great ads; I haven't done much for SEO for any of those, but when I do, they'll bring in a lot of money.

  I am glad they are useful to you. I also learned a lot about Adsense by reading through all of these articles so be sure to check them out. The one article at Problogger specifically mentions that you should reduce the number of Adsense ads you have on your blog. That makes sense because if a visitor has too many options then he might not click on an Adsense link after all. Be sure to try that out ;)

  I personally haven't tried content spinning before and it also doesn't seem useful to me. I have a much better technique for finding content for your websites. I pay around $0.5-2 per 10 articles which I believe is pretty good. I simply buy PLR ebooks and use their content on my sites (not on my blog though). Take a look at the articles. They are really interesting and will definitely give you some ideas as to what you can do with Adsense and how you can make more money with it. Thanks for the comment Aaron :)
