An Update on Latest SEO Tools

The year 2013 was marked with invention and innovations in a multitude of tools used for Search Engine Optimization. Established SEO giants like Majestic SEO, Raven Tools, and of course, Google rolled out a number of new products and services. Some also made pragmatic changes and upgradations to the already existing SEO tools.

Here are a few important updates made by SEO providers in the beginning of 2013.

1. Majestic SEO in new languages and with a new URL Submitter

Majestic has been feeling particularly generous this year. You can not only access the site and its contents in 9 new languages, but also submit a maximum of a hundred URLs a day for free! Apart from this, Majestic SEO has also modified its link export mechanism, allowing users to export links in a variety of formats as compared to the previously available sole CSV format.

2. Raven Tools rolled out its Site Auditor

The Site Auditor has been introduced as the most advanced and the easiest website crawler application which will help users improve the performance of their websites. The tool automatically analyses and reports on the seven defining features of a website – its page speed, visibility, the meta data, content, semantics, images, and links. Apart from this, several other useful changes have been made. Raven’s email metrics has been enhanced, new email providers added, the Research Central now comes with advanced SEO options, and Finder upgrades have been made. Raven has also opened data from Google Analytics for emails.

3. Cognitive SEO and its updates

The Visual Link Explorer was launched to report about a site’s backlinks and the entire link profile by creating link graphs of the site’s back links. Additionally, the overall Cognitive SEO toolset was updated to include tagging as well as tag filtering.

Additionally, I’ve picked out seven nifty tools for SEO, which I am particularly looking forward to using. These newbies look extremely promising as of now and who knows, they may just revolutionize the way businesses engage in Search Engine Optimization for their websites!

Seven new SEO tools that you need to check out

1) The SEO Spider

Latest in the SEO tools launched by Screaming Frog, the SEO Spider has been designed as an efficient site crawler. Packed with powerful filtering algorithms, the SEO Spider will not only report any visibility and accessibility concerns your website may have, but also specifically filter even the most minute issues. It also comes with a marvelous site map generator.

2) The Keyword Planner

The Keyword Planner by Google is the next hot stuff in researching keywords for all your SEO needs. It has been rolled out as the successor to Google’s extremely popular Adwords Keyword tool.

Another SEO tool of the same category that I am particularly excited about is Grepwords. Do remember to check it out!

3) The DeepCrawl

DeepCrawl is another great tool to look out for. It is a premium service and will therefore cost more than the SEO services provided by cheaper services like Screaming Frog or free services like the IIS SEO.

Agreed that the DeepCrawl is going to cost you more but it is all geared up to deliver the value of its cost by crawling and reporting on enterprise level websites which have a large number of pages – and I am talking about millions of pages here.

4) The Searchmetrics

Try the Searchmetrics out for quick and easy analysis and reporting on search volumes for all your SEO requirements.

5) The Fresh Web Explorer

Fresh Web Explorer is the newest in line for all your social monitoring and metrics needs by MOZ. You can compare mentions of keywords up to a month ago, ship the data, and also combine this data with other information from your tool set. One feature of Fresh Web Explorer that I am a fan of is its ability to discover even those mentions of your website which don’t link presently.

6)  The Ahrefs

Ahrefs are latest on the block for link monitoring, analyzing, and reporting. Ahrefs’ monitoring of link data is strikingly fast and it seems to do exceptionally well in the discovery of new and lost links. It packs an extremely powerful API as well.

7) The LinkRisk

This is another powerful SEO tool you have got to try for quick and efficient monitoring and analysis of links. With LinkRisk, you can quickly weed out poor links and also engage in link building for improving your accessibility.
