Introducing Kathryn Lang

Let’s work together to find it because it is ALL about relationships and we are stronger together.”

One tool that has come to our attention is Ubersuggest and making your blogging life easier. In fact, we love it so much that we have probably mentioned it previously!
If you are a blogger, like Kathryn, you probably understand the need for blogging that is seen (read!) by others. In order to get there, it is helpful if you are found in search engines. And, in order to be found in search engines, it is helpful if you understand SEO (search engine optimization) and one of the starting points, keywords.
Fortunately, it is not rocket science and there are some tools out there to make it easier for you. One such tool, that makes it super easy, is the Ubersuggest keyword tool.
There are some great tools out there and some of them help you with keyword research and keyword suggestions. Some of them are paid. Hey, that isn’t bad, but why not get it for free? Yes, Ubersuggest is free! And, you would never know it from all of the cool results (including competitive analysis) that it provides you.
There are three primary metrics that you want to know about your keyword, keyword phrases, or the keyword suggests that Ubersuggest will help you find:
- Search volume (how many times is that keyword searched for in a month);
- Cost per click – CPC (how much are people paying in advertising, per click on the keyword);
- Competition (what is the other guy doing so you can beat them at their own game).
Ubersuggest has some features that outdo THEIR competitors:
- As we mentioned, they are FREE;
- The interface loads super fast so if you have that incredible idea in your head and you type 90 wpm, you won’t lose the idea waiting for Ubersuggest to load with your keyword suggestions;
- Ability to sort. The three metrics we mentioned above… you are able to sort your results by any one of them, helping you to narrow down and drill down to the information that you need – quickly!
You want to be sure to find keywords (or use those that Ubersuggest suggests) that have a search volume. If no one is looking up that keyword, it is not worth using for SEO. Oh, you might be able to use it for paid advertising, because no one will be clicking on it, so it is not likely to cost you in a CPC situation, but why not find a word that has some decent search volume, that is somewhat popular, but not too popular? In looking at art museum (try it yourself by visiting Ubersuggest and typing in art museum), we see that the search volume is fair, at 74k. The CPC is doable at $2.07 per click. The competition is .03, which is a bit lower than the sweet spot of 0.1 to 0.7. Fortunately, you can use Ubersuggest to look up other keywords and use the results to narrow your keywords to just the right one for your blog post on art museums.
