Gigwalk as a New Money Making Machine

Gigwalk Money Making Machine

Looking for new ways to make money? Checkout the new trend of “Crowd Commerce”; this new concept is driven by the smart phone technology, mainly iPhone and powered by Gigwalk Inc.

Just 10 weeks after they first launched their app, Gigwalk Inc. was able to capture over 116 thousand gigs on their network (and rapidly increasing). Gigwalk connects companies in need for location-specific tasks with freelancers (called Gigwalkers) willing to take on gigs in that location. Gigwalk currently operates in, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle and South Florida.

Gigwalk founded by ex-Yahoo (Nasdaq: YHOO) employees, Ariel Seidman (former director of mobile search for Yahoo), Matt Crampton and David Watanabe, is currently gaining a lot of momentum through its enterprise clients base that includes clients like Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), TomTom (Other OTC: TMOAF.PK), MenuPages.com, and the New York online restaurant guide.

Is this the new CraigsList? Or is it just a false hype? I would leave that for you to decide.

“I thought it was an amazing concept,” says Jeff Clavier, a managing partner at SoftTech VC, which also invested in Gigwalk. “After five minutes I thought, ‘This is like mobile crowdsourcing.'”
