I saw the performance in my stats, it was really amazing, I changed my mind completely!
Now, I am thinking more about banner ads vs social media advertising model as a regular publisher on the BSA network.

I realized that sponsored tweets can really save a lot of money, especially in big advertising campaigns. You can simply pay the same amount of money, and start getting huge traffic right a way. And, to make things better, I suggest you pick a few different twitter accounts (publishers) to advertise though, not focusing on only one publisher, this should increase performance as you will promote your links to many different followers.
Get more Clicks and drive more visits
The trick here is to actually carefully write your tweet, you need to make it interesting and more appealing to get more clicks. I suggest you do a performance an A/B test for the tweets, then stick with the one that get your more clicks, this can be done in the text and link as well, you can test the conversion of your landing page (for example: Send people to home page or buy now page).
Tweeting your campaign on time
You can schedule sponsored tweets and send it in particular day and time (for example: you product launch day), this is a big difference between banner ads and social media advertising. While banner ads are not really controllable, Social Media simply allow you to choose when exactly to get the clicks, it’s really different way of promotion and create awareness of your site or new product.

I remember I had a big success when I promoted my Drupal design bookmarking site through BSA 125×125 banner ads, that was before they include Sponsored Tweets to the mix.
